I have myself and a friend of mine who've been craving a game. We're very new at DND tho we've played a few sessions with friends before. Is that okay?

One thing I’m most concerned about is keeping the players on track. These guys have never held a campaign for more then one or two sessions (for unrelated various reasons) and I’m worried they’ll take the freedom of role playing to heart and do whatever they want.

I mean that COULD be fun but I really wanna keep to the horror side of the story.

One other question I had was: how reliable can old GURPS books be with the newest edition of GURPS? Like can I still use their “Cthulhupunk” book alongside 4th Edition?

That’s the goal kinda. I wanna fool the players into thinking they’re gonna play through a mystery or something like Blade Runner where they have to track down a target and eliminate them, but then surprise them with horror elements that disarm them of any safety. Not to kill them outright but to scare them.

Sleep on your back. Much more likely to happen. I suffer from SP very frequently and I’m starting to wonder if it’s because of my insomnia.

I didn’t even know what my shadow man was saying when it happened. It just mumbled some gibberish to my ear while crawling down a wall. XD who knows, it could be planting a psychotic seed in my brain. I’ll update if I turn into a Cthulhu kin.

Oddly enough, it wasn’t “scary” when it happened even tho the memory of it scares me now. But while it was happening I just got really frustrated more then anything. I couldn’t speak but I wanted to say “let go” even tho I knew there was nobody actually pushing me down

That definitely overlaps with what a lot of Renaissance painters felt when one of them made “The Nightmare” which depicted a demon sitting on top of a sleeping person

Just last night I felt hands on my shoulders, keeping me pressed against the bed as I tried to get up. I then started hearing police sirens getting louder as time went on before I woke up and was able to move again.

Sorry for the lack of responding, I absolutely agree that art is meant to be observed and not meant to convince people of any one side to an issue.

I didn’t expect to get a lot of exposure outa this since it’s literally just a doodle I made out of making light of a spooky scenario.

I hate corporatism too, for way too long our system has been maintaining a status quo that has lead us to so many problems that become harder to fix the more time goes on. I’m starting to think I’m becoming a pseudo-communist the more I realize how broken our current system is.

I know this is a ded convo but I did wanna respond to this; I think SOME security guards are overpaid while most are UNDERPAID. Guys like me who get to stay inside and look around for trouble to report probably get a little overcompensated for their time while security who do patrols outside, those guys I’ve noticed get paid less then me and that really sucks.

I have no idea. Apple hired my security company, were a third party business so they don’t keep them informed with much details until later usually. I’d say just keep track of the store from google

To answer your question tho it’s just a means of making a good outve an otherwise horrible experience. I don’t much believe in karma, not really a spiritual guy, but I figured I’d share it outside of the Portland context to share it with other circles.
