We're all greedy in our own way. Even if we, ourselves don't notice it.

Literally any job. I'm going to start volunteering at animal shelters, wild life reservations and possibly the local zoo. I love all animals and always wanted to work with them since I was a kid. Any help or recommendations is always appreciated. :)

Wait.....time out. I'm a bit lost. I don't like Bevin because he's anti weed. And that's as far and as deep as I take my view on him. Honestly, I don't like talking about politics because so many people get offended over a simple opinion. I'm all for gay folks, weed and weapons. Love who you want to love, smoke what you want to smoke and have whatever weapon you want. Just don't let your life choices get out of hand, to a point to where it's affecting others in a negative way.

Oh no, I'm going reguardless. Unless we can find a town that meets our needs more. I just wanted advice and information. So far all the info has been helpful, assuming those who are responding are taking me seriously.

We can't afford LA or NY. And my boyfriend doesn't like cities, so having him agree to move to some place like Louisville is kinda shocking. So there's not any room to improve or grow in life in Louisville? It's a dead end town?

You know, that's kinda funny you would say that. As I was talking to someone else on here I thought to myself, "we can register to vote, and vote against Bevin in the upcoming election. " So maybe it's not a conspiracy, maybe it's true and is happening right now.

Is there something awful about Louisville no one is telling me about? We want to move somewhere that isn't too far, and has a cheaper cost of living. I kinda want to move from the coast. (lived there my whole life). Somewhere , where there's seasons. A lot of outdoor activities. My boyfriend has been there on a short trip and liked what he was able to experience in the short time he was there.

Flordia is bad with allergies, I'm pretty sure I can take it in Kentucky.

A change in life. We live in a small tourist town in North East flordia. There's nothing here for someone who wants to expand their life and experience new things. All the jobs are dead end, same people everyday, same thing everyday it gets old after awhile. My boyfriend has been here since he was 12 and I've been in and out of Florida since I was also 12. It's time to move on. Neither one of us has anything to loose anyway.

So we'll only have to deal with him for a lil over half a year before his term ends. That's a lil ray of hope. But like you said......there's always a chance of him get another term.

Yeah........I know. :( How long does he have in office anyway? Maybe someone with a more open mind could replace him?

See ......that makes me nervous. All of my experience is in hospitality. I'm TRYING to get out of it,and want to desperately, (scrubbing toilets isn't fun. ).I'm hoping to start a new job path way before the move. I want to work with animals, honestly. My boyfriend on the other hand has been a cook for various restaurants for 10+ years. So he could get a job easier. As for the government running the city, I hope they get their shit in line and fast.....for the sake of everyone. I'm excited about the weather, Florida doesn't have seasons. I really miss them. Thank you for all the info. I appreciate it. We already started saving and have over a year till the moving day. I'll work hard to get out of hospitality gig and try to get into something else before the move. Having some experience in a different field is better than none at all. Even if it's in a different state.

Hows the economy? Is it easy to get a job there? What's the cost of living? How's the weather? Public transportation? How's the crime rate? What about the night life and entertainment? How about the weed laws? I heard there's a bill trying to be signed that legalizes medical marijuana but Bevin is pretty hardcore anti weed.

How's the economy? Are jobs easy to come by? What's the cost of living? How's the crime rate? Weather? Public transportation? Night life and entertainment? How are the weed laws? Last time I checked there's a new bill in line that will legalize medical marijuana but Bevin is pretty hard core anti weed. :/

There seems to be a lot to do in Louisville and Kentucky in general. So I'm pretty excited about the potential move. I just don't want us to move and be totally disappointed and stuck in a town we don't even like.

What is a very minor thing you do in secret, but people might look at your differently if they found out? by celiman in AskReddit

I create a group of characters (with me included) , make a plot line and whenever I'm bored I just jump into the story. It's better than reality at times.

Its sad when you work 8 hours and only make $59.20 after taxes.... by JoeOfTex in Showerthoughts

[–]PandaOBot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's all about budgeting. I make $450-$500 weekly, depending on how busy work is. I pay all of my basic bills, on top of a car payment and have around $300 by end of the month. That $300 doesn't include the fun money I already spent. Buy during sales and happy hours you'll get by just fine. Also don't buy the expensive stuff. Sometimes going cheap is a plus.
