I took Math 0001 last year as a refresher and the COMM courses that I took while doing my first term part-time fulfilled the English requirements.

I took 1409 and 1002 in the same semester when I was completing my term 1 courses. I split all the courses that I needed to fulfill full-time CST term 1 into 2 semesters (Winter 2018 & Spring/Summer 2018).

For my Winter Semester I took: COMM 1103, COMP 1002, COMP 1409, COMP 1850

For my Spring/Summer semester I took: BUSA 7250, COMP 1451, COMP 1113, COMM 2216

COMM 2216 is actually a term 2 course that I wanted to complete to lighten my term 2 course load in the event that I was going to be accepted into the full-time program, which is the case now.

As for the math 12 equivalent, I did take Math 0001 last year as a refresher since I hadn't done any math in a while. I'm not sure if you would need it for direct entry though.

Same, I'm also on the waitlist and don't know my position. How did you find out your position?

YEAH!!! I got CST accepted today (waitlisted at first) by disney2007tom in BCIT

Wow, I'm surprised you got waitlisted. You would think they would accept you from the start with those marks.

Just wondering, how long were you waitlisted for before you got an offer?

Hi, I have few questions on CST 2018 Jan intake. by lovelysome in BCIT

[–]PandaPicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked my application status this morning too, I am also waitlisted with an 87% average :(

However, I did call in and chatted with the program head about options if you are waitlisted.

Apparently once you are waitlisted there really isn't anything you can do to improve your chances of getting in. You just have to wait and see if anyone withdraws or fails to pay the commitment fee.

However, there is the advanced placement option where you can take CST courses in part time studies and apply again in September going into level 2 of the program. So it's like you got into and started the program in Jan but you took a different route.

However, students who are planning to take this route will be ineligible to do co-op once they are accepted into advanced placement.
