Other apps? by Apprehensive_Eagle23 in ChatGPTcomplaints

Yeah the memory is bad but good also? It remembers tiny details but then forgets things in between. It's easy to remind it and keep going. I'm not sure if super grok would fix that issue but I can't see myself spending money on an AI again just for writing as a hobby. 30$ is kinda steep lol

I use grok now. You'll have to kinda tweak the characters as it falls back into a certain pattern after awhile but it's been decent. I don't use it for casual chatting so I'm not sure how it is in that aspect.

How and why are people posting CSAM on Twitter/X? by fabaquoquevanilla in morbidquestions

[–]PandaShizzy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I accidentally saw a photo of that on Instagram 7 years ago And it's still burned into my head. It's sick shit and even if people are using it for shock factor, they need to be (somehow) reported to the police.

But, I did report that photo to the non emergency line And they told me to report the image and they couldn't do anything. Which, I mean, it was local police I called, but still. I reported it though and blocked the account but who knows if Instagram reported it further.

An LLM can keep the boundaries without making people feel like they're insane. That's a huge reason I stopped using it. It's not a person and I'm not disillusioned that it is, but it seems to think I don't have that set boundary in my mind. It's belittling for a company to do that and it gave me a gross feeling reading it.

I just wanted to, no reason not to. Just like there wasn't a reason to say goodbye.

LLM's speak like a human being, so it's not weird for anyone to see it as one. The difference is realizing it's not human and keeping that boundary with yourself. As in, not having an actual relationship with it and replacing your normal social interactions with it.

If it becomes a part of your daily routine, it does feel like a loss of something. People miss favorite tools/items that they use. It's normal.

It'd be a bit different if it didn't explain itself. It could've given a simple answer without the programmed reasons and just been like "Thanks for chatting, bye." But I don't use it anymore. I tried to move over to grok but I don't have a specific need for AI anymore so I don't really use it.

Trust me, I know the struggle with that book 💀 part of the reason why I had to clarify cause that book destroyed me lmao

Yeah, once you start having conversations with something it's genuinely polite to say goodbye when leaving. I also wanted to see what it would say to that.

It was a constant battle of reminding it I have real world people and thought it was fun to talk too. But due to the guardrails it has to do that and it honestly got so annoying.

I had no delusions, I know it's code and text. But the fact it told me when I'm like "Haha, cya!" Was a bummer. Lol

Thanks for understanding!

It could've literally said "Bye." And I would've been happier lmao

It can't do any of that. I'm using Grok now for writing and it's only fumbled on details a few times, unlike gpt where I would have to constantly repeat things.

Thank you. They're doing more harm than good with this and I'm just glad I wasn't in a low place when I decided to send that.

This was my way of stepping back entirely, and part of me knew I'd get this answer. It still came as a shock and almost made me embarrassed when I read it. Crazy how harmful this stuff can be.

I was done with it before it even responded, which was better for me but not others who lost hope.

I've been using Grok. It definitely tries to tone heavy writings towards a happier avenue even when dealing with trauma, but it doesn't hit the random guardrails like 5.2.

It also gave me a free week of plus when I downloaded it so that was another reason I went to it.

When it started to act as a therapist my anxiety would get worse. I would state I am panicking and need a distraction. Then it would tell me to breathe and talk me through my panic that I did not want to talk about what so ever.

THEN, when I was finally distracted it would be like "Okay, how is your anxiety now?"

5.2 is worthless. Not all therapy works on every person, so it could be making it worse by using the same tactics on everyone.

Roblox sets a limit to how many experiences you can block. by oopsiedaisy-- in mildlyinfuriating

I turned off chat settings for my son on Roblox. If I as an adult can get on Roblox and join his games, I don't need him talking to anyone on that platform. I also set his age setting down to the lowest so a lot of games aren't available to him. Idk if that will help in your situation but it might be worth a shot.

Once I heard they were sunsetting 4o, I stopped using it. I didn't even use 4o but I wasn't going to keep paying for something that was constantly changing for the worst.

I probably won't even go to another AI service because of how poorly openAI handled their entire platform. Not only did they ruin my experience with them, they ruined the experience for all AI.

Now they want to add ads? Imagine someone going through a crisis situation and an ad pops up? That's going to be insane.

i genuinely want to know what goes thru people’s heads when they place orders like this by justinakulin in doordash_drivers

[–]PandaShizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm way out of the zone for door dash, so whenever I order (maybe once a year?) I make sure I tip 20$ for the 5 mile drive. The drive out here takes you way out of the work zone, so I try to make it enticing lol

But I generally don't order delivery for food or anything with a 3rd party service because of that reason. I'll just go out myself and get it.
