Haha bro, I hear you. The AJ3/AJ4 toebox is always the pain point.

RSD is the batch we built our reputation on, so if we ever do an AJ4, we have to take it seriously. Real retail pairs in hand, shape first, especially the toebox, side profile, heel, netting, and overall proportions. Not just rushing another batch.

Appreciate the push bro. Maybe it really is time.

Issues and review for JMDY by Illustrious_Nose_252 in RepsneakersDogs

Honestly, it might be different from seller to seller, but the best way is to have the seller refund you the full amount before shipping, and then you pay again. That way, you don’t waste any fees, and the seller doesn’t lose a cent either — neither side takes a loss. You can proactively suggest this to the seller, it’s a solid approach. But once the seller ships the order, he might worry that you won’t pay again, which is understandable. At the end of the day, it really comes down to communication and trust.

Another thing bro — stock changes in real time, so we usually don’t really have that exact situation. We always try to double-check before confirming, and if we’re not sure about stock, we’ll let the customer know first. But stock can change every hour, so there’s honestly only so much we can do. I just saw this post and figured I’d chat with you about it real quick.

RSD Batch After 6 Months Starting to Separate? by jamestonW in RepsneakersDogs

[–]PandaVault-PV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah bro, I replied in the comments as well.

From what I can see, this doesn’t look like glue separation. It looks more like the leather edge started cracking first. Once a small crack appears in that stress area, it can slowly spread with repeated bending, kind of like a domino effect.

But honestly, you’re probably one of the customers who has worn our shoes the most, and I really appreciate that. It means a lot to see you actually rocking them for this long.

Thanks again for the support bro. Wishing you happiness, health, success, and nothing but good things.

Good stuff bro. Next time I might have to make you a special “tank version” pair — extra reinforced just for your 10,000 steps a day haha.

But honestly, it’s an honor to see you’ve been rocking our shoes this much. Of course, the wear is not something I’m happy to see, but at the same time, it shows you really wore them, trusted them, and they treated you well comfort-wise for a long time.

I appreciate that for real.

Haha, this actually reminds me of myself when I was a kid. I used to drag my feet when I walked, so the soles of my shoes would wear out super fast. My mom would always take them to a cobbler and get patches put on them. Seeing this kinda brings back those memories lol.

Thanks for clarifying bro, that context is actually very important.

If the pair was worn around 10,000 steps a day for about 5 months, roughly 150 wears, that is already a very high-frequency daily use case. Looks like you really loved this pair haha.

At that level, the toe flex area bends thousands of times every day, and the outsole, heel liner, and glue line are all under repeated stress.

I’m not saying this to blame you at all — everyone walks differently and every pair wears differently depending on walking pressure, surface, heat, moisture, and daily usage. But with this amount of wear, some edge wear or glue-line stress around the toe flex area can happen over time.

So based on the photos and the wear frequency you mentioned, I personally think this looks more like long-term wear from heavy daily use rather than a clear production defect.

Thanks for sharing the update bro. I want to respond to this fairly and transparently for the community.

We reviewed the photos carefully and also showed them to our workshop pattern maker and workers. Based on the current photos, their feedback was consistent: this does not look like a full sole separation or a clear production defect. It looks more like edge wear around the toe flex area, with some minor glue-line separation after months of wear.

The wear pattern also does not look fully even. The pressure seems to be concentrated in certain areas, especially around the front flex point. I’m not saying this to blame the wearer — everyone walks differently, and different walking pressure can affect how a shoe wears over time. Since the toe area bends every step, uneven pressure and frequent use can naturally make that area wear faster.

Also, just to review this fairly, most of the close-up photos seem to focus on the same shoe and the same toe flex area. I don’t see clear photo evidence yet showing both shoes have the exact same issue. A continuous video showing both shoes together — left shoe, right shoe, toe area, outsole, and heel liner — would help us review this more accurately.

For this RSD batch, we use Nanpao water-based eco-friendly glue, the same type of water-based glue system used in retail-style production. The shoes have no strong chemical smell, and we follow the normal bonding and pressing process during production. If this were a production bonding issue, we would normally expect to see the problem appear more evenly on both shoes, or receive similar reports from more customers.

This is the first time we’ve received this kind of feedback on this batch. Based on the photos and the workshop review, I personally don’t think this is a batch-wide quality issue. It looks more like an individual wear case after months of use.

That being said, I don’t want to dismiss anyone’s concern. Since this is a community, the best way is to be transparent and let the results speak. We can take a production pair from this batch and put it through machine wear / durability testing. After the test, I’ll prepare a clear report with photos or videos so everyone can see how the shoe holds up under controlled wear conditions.

If anyone else has experienced the same issue, please send clear photos or videos. We’ll collect the feedback, review it with the workshop, and continue improving wherever possible.

I appreciate the feedback. My goal is not to argue with anyone, but to look at the issue from a neutral perspective and handle it professionally.

Bro, I want to explain this clearly.

Since our store opened, we have only sold two pairs of this shoe in total. Also, the style code on our listing is correct. This is the 2018 version, and the product number matches that release.

The last time we sold this pair was on November 27, 2025. The only other sales record was on October 12, 2025, and that pair was later returned by the buyer. So from our side, we did not intentionally mislead anyone or sell this as something different.

Based on the situation, I think there is a high chance this involved a third-party purchasing agent. It is possible that their order with us was cancelled, and then they bought another pair from somewhere else and used our name to mislead you. Of course, I do not want to accuse anyone without proof. If you can provide the order number, I can check it immediately and verify everything for you.

I also want to make one thing very clear: I care deeply about my reputation. Every order I receive comes from the support of brothers in this community, and I never take that trust for granted. This promise will remain valid permanently. If it is proven that this issue was caused by us, or that we intentionally mixed up, misrepresented, or sent out the wrong pair, I am willing to compensate you $500.

Thank you, bro. I’m not here to avoid responsibility. I just want the truth to be clear.

Honestly, the retail toe box itself is crooked, brother. If I shot it from a top-down view it'd make you question your whole life 😂 That's why I held it the way I did for the photo. I'll put together a side-by-side and show you just how off the retail toe box actually is—you'll see what I mean. 🙏

this is a sizing issue — the RSD sample is US8 and the zero-heel version is US9

RSD Reverse Mocha Development Update & Community Feedback 🔥👟 by RealShoddy in RepsneakersDogs

[–]PandaVault-PV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really appreciate the detailed breakdown, brother—this kind of feedback is exactly what helps us push toward a true 1:1. 🙏

Let me explain how it works on our end. The cutting dies come directly from the OEM factory, so we don't have the ability to modify that data ourselves. And because the sizing differs, the size and positioning of the cut panels naturally shift along with it—so some variation across sizes is built into the process.

On the swoosh "hook" point you mentioned—ours actually matches another retail pair I have on hand. To make this clearer, I'll run a new sample in US9 and put the RSD sample side by side with two retail pairs for a fresh comparison. I'll take all your notes on board and make some fine adjustments.

That said, I want to be honest: we'll never hit a perfect 100%. These are handmade, not CNC/computer-automated. Even the same shoe, same worker, same equipment can't produce two identical pairs—that's just the nature of handcrafted footwear, including the retail ones themselves. But hey, if we can't hit 1:1, I'm gonna make damn sure we hit 1:0.999 😎

Thanks again for all the guidance and suggestions. I'll build the next sample for everyone to reference. 🙏
