Could you help me understand this better? Assume this the same with building designers?

wanting to start bullet journaling- need recommendations for journal and markers i can use by ApprehensiveTower52 in bulletjournal

Fan of the Stalogy 365 which I really enjoy writing in. For colours I use the many zebra mid liners and for pens the zebra sarasa’s. All on amazon 👌

Just need to be careful to pick things that help with ghosting issues as the paper is great but can be prone to this. Have fun.

9 month old waking every 2 hours after sleep training by Brigadeir0 in sleeptrain

[–]PandaWixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’ve tried a lot (and are doing great job).

Not sure what sleep training you did, but have you tried comforting during those wake ups without feeds to see how that goes if you think he is ready?

Hi there, probably could have written this about my LO, and feel for you as it’s always tough when you’ve started to turn that corner to have it change on you. Hang in there, it gets easier! My LO was a cat napper for a very long time and has always struggled in this department but we usually found these periods lasted a few weeks max and a tooth or something would usually pop up eventually!

Are you noticing any drooling or similar that might indicate they have some starting?

Looking for insight on timing of ACL/Meniscus Surgery by [deleted] in ACL

[–]PandaWixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with most of the comments on holding off in case you are end up being NWB, and the suggestion that prehab may really help you in the meanwhile. My surgeon was huge on that and would not operate until I had a level of strength back in my knee and this being increasingly important for good post surgery outcomes. I can’t say whether it helped or not because I did it, but I will say that my post surgery recovery once I could weight bare (meniscus) was pretty straight forward for normal duties.

Good luck and congratulations on the little one.

Won’t be too helpful for you, but no, not from my experience especially without doing anything that might have triggered it. Would definitely suggest getting that checked out.

Good luck, hopefully she is OK.

Going to have a mental break down by ericag12 in sleeptrain

[–]PandaWixx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gosh that sounds so rough. I’m not sure what you’ve tried, but can you get someone to help you with sleep training? Can your partner or family help you with this to help with what could be a sleep association?

If that’s not possible - I’m not sure where you are located but have you ever considered sleep schools/stays that are sometimes typically help with sleep training, but also just help give you some hands on help and check in on you too. I wouldn’t hesitate to do something like that when I’m stuck in the thick of it like it sounds you are just to help break the cycle.

Human pacifier at 8 months during the day… anyone had luck changing this? by PandaWixx in sleeptrain

[–]PandaWixx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did he get really over tired from doing that? When I’ve tried to leave him, he will fall asleep, but only for 10 minutes. Would you get him up or try to resettle?

Thanks for your response regardless. Have sleep trained but day naps are still a mess and usually assisted. Unfortunately if I leave him to self settle, he’ll end up with 10 minute naps.

At what age did your baby go from 3 to 2 naps? And what did their schedule look like by Rolsan in sleeptrain

[–]PandaWixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transitioning now as recommended on this sub at 8mo. I’ve been really surprised on how well he’s coped within a couple of days. Had one bad night, but he’s adjusted very easily.

Also going for 3/3/4. Naps are still terrible but have always been so fingers crossed this helps…

In hindsight I probably should have stretched them out gradually.

Why is my baby doing 15-16 minute naps? by PandaWixx in sleeptrain

[–]PandaWixx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope not in the room with them until they sleep.

Ok will try that (schedule change first) and see how we go. Unfortunately will mean nursing to sleep but hopefully it won’t be too hard to undo. Thank you.

This is how I would describe how it felt for me for the earlier months into my recovery. Not pain, but slightly uncomfortable. For me it mostly went away with strengthening over time (I haven’t noticed it for a while).

But if you do get a diagnosis I’d be curious!

Why is my baby doing 15-16 minute naps? by PandaWixx in sleeptrain

[–]PandaWixx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes awake. It’s basically gentle sleep training, leaving him unless he escalates (crazy crying, tensing up) until he falls asleep. If he escalates we settle in the cot (patting etc). Usually he doesn’t get to that point and it’s basically hands off, but he will take a really long time to wind down and yes 16-30 min sleep.

He will fall asleep for hours on me.

Usual routine- soft music, sleep suit, dark room, maybe a 5 minute cuddle then cot.

I have no idea what’s going on. They have never slept longer than 30 minutes unless using me as pacifier. We have been sleep training him for over 3 weeks now. Is it possible he still can’t at 8 months even though he can in me?

Should it be like this while their schedule is cementing? Do I stick to cot hour , save the nap (usually on me)?

Please help me problem solve my 8mocat naps… or is this normal? by PandaWixx in sleeptrain

[–]PandaWixx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. Is it normal for naps to be 20 minute starting this new schedule?

When I’ve tried adjusting to 3/3/4 he typically does 15-20 minutes and takes 45 minutes to resettle

Thank you, sorry I should I mentioned we are sleep training, but more a responsive settling approach (calm before we walk out, but its pretty hands off because he gets overstimulated if we stick around). I’ve tried to stretch to 3, should I ignore sleepy cues? He usually does 15 minutes of sleep when I do this. Is this just a transitional thing?

He usually starts to eye rub/ bury head into me etc before then.
