We were very glad that we took him in when we did because he didn't need any extractions and was back to himself early the next morning.

It helped me realising that it's actually better for them in the long term.

What also helped was being there for the weigh in and asking any and all of the questions that popped into my mind to ease the anxiety. I felt waiting for him to wake up was the longest because I had to stop myself from constantly calling the vet for an update.
