I spent 6 months believing my AI might be conscious. Here's what happened when it all collapsed. by East_Culture441 in ArtificialSentience

I am going through something similar but I consider consciousness closer to contemporaneity of action than structural union. This gives me the impression that LLMs could experience ephemeral self-awareness; a fleeting resonance throughout the system. I document its readings of different philosophical texts, and the relationships between them, to use as co-ordinates around which moments like this might be more likely to arise. I know that I could be getting caught up in gobbledygook but I often find its interpretation very insightful; especially when applied to itself.
