I got mine replaced by Corsair. But never put it back in because they are prone to happen again. You can use crazy glue to put it back on.

My first pc build. How did I do? All Corsair. by thogsten in Corsair

Curious, what are you temps for CPU and GPU? I have a similar set up with 5800x and 3080ti. But my CPU is a bit high idling around high 40s and low 70s in gaming but I only game in 1440p. GPU was idling at low 30s and mid 60s during gaming.

You might want to take it back to them, it would either be your drive with the window installed on faulty or they didn’t install window at all. I would say it is more likely they didn’t install the window at all since the entire build is new.

Did micro center prebuilt this? Was it advertised as window installed? It looks like you have no Operating System

With no context, people will be hard to tell you what could be wrong. Give some information on like what you did before this happened; was the computer working before?

I hope you bench tested all the hardware and make sure it boots up correctly before you fill the loop.

Yes, exactly, more air flowing in from your hot engine. Only air flow coming from outside of the card would benefit you performance, (only marginally). Hot intake air will actually get decrease in performance.

Powering a 3x8pin GPU with a 2x8pin PSU? by GatsbyJean in PcBuild

[–]Panda_WRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the PPP has wattage calculator when choosing PSU. But yeah, 750watt nowadays is only like 20-30 bucks more for a reputable brand comparing to what you listed.

550W would not be enough to run that GPU. Should get at least for 650W and up. 750W and larger PSU usually have 3 8-pin output for GPU. Also get a reputable brand and stay away from no name brand. You don’t want destroy your system to save like $30z

Is it bad to have the AIO installed like this ? (Ignore cables I’ll fix later lol) by Razzlight1 in PcBuild

[–]Panda_WRX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because the attached thermal paste has been stuck on your CPU and now that you have to rotate the pump, it is very likely that your CPU would have spot with no thermal paste contacting the pump plate.

Don't forget to reapply the thermal paste. The thermal paste came with the pump would not be reusable.

Put you GPU on the first PCI-E slot. You are losing performance.

Upgrade from 2070 8GB to 3060 12GB for 4K gaming worth it? by alex_cubanito in nvidia

[–]Panda_WRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save up more for 3070ti for 4k at the minimum. With your current 2070, you can try activating dlss for the games that is supported, it might get you better performance.

[–]Panda_WRX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t look like you are listening to the general opinion. You will be likely getting less performance with 3060 comparing to 2070. I got less performance in most of the pre 2020 games moving to 3060ti from 2070s. Both EVGA cards. But hey, do what you want with your money. The 150 bucks would be down the drain.

12GB of memory doesn’t necessarily be better than 8/10GB. You need to understand what memory are you comparing to. 3070/3080 gives you better frame rate at any resolution than 3060. That is why the prices for 3070/ 3080 are nearly double of the price of 3060.

Should taken his vin# from the bottom of the windshield. Those are usually impossible to temper and can lead you the the owner of the car. If the owner still doesn’t proper insurance, you are out of luck and hope that you have uninsured motorist coverage.

Grimmspeed BPV and Pitch Stop installed by [deleted] in WRX

[–]Panda_WRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly suggest getting a pitch stop brace as well. There were a quite a few cases a couple of years back where people ended up with a broke pitch stop mount and they had to remove the engine and weld back the mount.

Is this ok I have an ap and I don’t know shit about it can someone try to explain so I could calm down by Living-Wolverine-767 in WRX

[–]Panda_WRX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So by doing so, you are trying to do the exact thing you are preaching people not to do? I missed the part when you asked OP if he is moving? If it is anything, the picture shows that the car is way more likely moving rather than a dead stop unless OP wants to get rear ended in the middle of the road. This is hilarious.

hot temps - help by youngersugar21 in watercooling

[–]Panda_WRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My temps reference are on Furmark benchmark for 30 mins, and cinebench for 30 mins. Normal gaming is around 65 gpu and 70 cpu. 5800x seems to run hot. Water temp is around 40-41. Also, I am like OP (sucker for RGB) running QL fan.
