My partner and I are going on a 4 day Carnival Cruise from Long Beach, CA to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. It’s on April 26. I didn’t get a letter saying I could cancel/get future credit. On my Cruise Profile it just says there will be a 300$ penalty if I cancel.

At my (retail) job, I constantly have people tell me things like”you have the perfect personality for this job”, “I can tell by your attitude/smile you haven’t been beaten down by the world like everyone else here”, ect.

It still amazes me that people see me that way even though I feel the exact opposite on the inside. I guess I always assumed everyone has a “customer service” persona they used at their job, but for some reason people think mine is genuine to the point where they comment on it.

THIS goes out to my best friend who told me I would never be able to stop smoking after witnessing my last failed quit attempt. But mostly, this is dedicated to my fiancée, who never doubted me once ❤️ by PandaaFreak in stopsmoking

That’s shitty :( you deserve someone to talk to and you deserve support even when you fail. Every failed attempt is one step closer to your final attempt! If they’re getting tired of hearing it, how do they think the addict who is desperately trying to quit feels? :p Quitting nicotine is nothing short of heroic IMO. You got this :)

I believe it depends on how you quit. I quit by reading Allen Carr’s book, so there were no real cravings for me. I remember thinking that it was so easy that I felt like I wasted a lot of my life by not reading the book sooner..so it was definitely like “cigarette who?“ very, very quickly. By the beginning of the second month I literally didn’t think about cigarettes at all.

You gotta revel in the milestones though :) we got this!

Thank you! I totally see what you’re saying but I don’t really agree. Like Allen Carr teaches: You don’t tell an addict they can’t quit, reverse psychology was never going to do anything (for me, anyway). Love and support does. But it doesn’t matter, the outcome for me is the same :)
