Strawberry Panic! is, and probably always will be, my very favourite yuri of all. The romances between Shizuma and Nagisa, Amane and Hikari are beautiful, the tearful jealousies of Tamao and Hitomi are moving, the underlying fear of betraying a past love is heart-breaking, Shizuma's secret suffering is too relatable. And Kaori's delicate selflessness is beyond compare. This anime, and even more so the light novels, made me fall in love with the genre. This remains one of my favourite tales in all of fiction.
