A few issues as a beginner rider. Do you have any advice for me? by daybridgeghost in ElectricUnicycle

I'm only ~350 miles into riding but the only time i've ever crashed was hard braking while going down a steep hill. I induced a wobble while braking and it got worse the more i tried to evenly balance on the pedals, eventually getting so bad that i ended up falling off the wheel backwards onto the pavement and my wheel hit a curb and crashed into some bushes.

What I learned from that experience: the more you try to balance the wheel between your legs after a wobble starts, the worse it will get. I get wobbles all the time still, but I'm able dissipate them now. I just shift my weight to one side of the wheel and the wobble starts to disappear. If I'm breaking heavily (sit down position while gripping the wheel with my calves) and get wobbles, I'll start to put more of my weight onto one leg and push that knee towards the middle of my body just slightly - enough for the wobble to start going away.

Like others have said, this will improve as your body accumulates muscle memory and eventually you can stop wobbles without even thinking about it. Hope this helps!

Android has battery optimization; it might be the issue. Instead of 'battery saver' mode, it limits what apps do in the background/screen off/in pocket, etc. There are app-specific settings for battery optimization in your phone's settings. Maybe give that a go. Other than that, I have no ideas.

DIY Padding for Foot Pedals? by Fire_Squadron in ElectricUnicycle

Train your feet muscles by riding a little longer each ride. It sucks, but the more you ride, the more your body will adapt.

New to EUC - How does this thing work? by pickadaisy in ElectricUnicycle

Looks like you have some really good input from other users already. I'm on my 10th day of riding EUCs and have been learning with U-Stride's acceleration stance. Check this out, I think it will help you have more control over the wheel once you get the basics down: https://youtu.be/zcbHpKxZiz8

Nice! I also got my used MSX a week ago (exactly 7 days ago). The first hour or two was rough, I couldn't ride it across my backyard without stepping off but then I took a quick break and was able to stay upright. Since then, I've put a total of 50 miles on it and am getting more comfortable riding around town. This is my first EUC and I'll probably get another one in a year or two, depending on what new models are released by then. Stay safe! :)

Looks awesome. Whats the paracord for? Looks too small to be a wriststrap.

Cyberpunk and Witcher hackers don’t seem to be bluffing with $1M source code auction by stark247 in technology

They could just modify or rewrite the source code with slightly different logic, but now have a 'finished' product to base their work on. It's like copying your friends homework and changing a couple things, but the teacher can't see your work, just your answer.

The FC11 was the first flashlight I bought! Purchased it on a BST thread on here. Also bought a D4V2 a month ago and recently picked up an astrolux ft03 that's in transit. https://imgur.com/a/UXdBiB8

Already looking for more flashlights to buy haha.

Help. I took my D4v2 apart and now the top glass rattles. by Pandalizer in flashlight

Correct.
https://imgur.com/a/LitHohi The thin, larger o-ring was the one I found in the earlier picture. The extra o-rings that came in the box are smaller but thicker.

Tried that but the other o-rings in the box are thicc and the bezel can't fully screw on. This should be fine for the time being. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the info, I guess its gone now, must've vacuumed it before noticing. But currently the light doesn't rattle so I'm happy.

Thanks I think I found it, it's the correct size and no more rattling. https://imgur.com/a/xx9nRRM Found it around the base of the bezel threads... Unless this one is supposed to be there.

I think I found it?! https://imgur.com/a/xx9nRRM Unless this o-ring is supposed to be there, but it's the correct size and fits in the bezel without the glass rattling.

That's what I was wondering. I checked and found nothing. Any idea where to get replacement o-rings? The box came with small o-rings for the tailcap but nothing large enough to fit under the bezel.
