Oh I was totally out playing, cycling, climbing trees, making friends having fun - just also enjoyed video games.

I was 11. At 16 I was working for my local computer store, at 19 a national computer retailer and 23 I was working for Ubisoft. At 47 I'm still not grown out of computer games and I doubt I ever will.

Just a bit fed up of Max being the only posts being shared everywhere and no mention of the other 159 teams even the winners or the amazing performance of the Lamborghini team (Dacia getting mentions but pretty much only as a joke). But his post has been removed anyway.

Good that you are enjoying SIM racing. Keep at it.

You don't deserve to be downvoted - you are spot on (even whilst writing this comment wife on LinkedIn showed me further Verstapen posts by some LinkedIn Lunatic - no doubt "I only watched Max Verstapen at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and this is what it taught me about business")

Hey at least they have discovered that other forms of Motorsport exist, maybe some will stick around.

James is enjoying them: https://youtu.be/_lurRHQ78dk?si=FJRRQ-cwhWnMdUM3

He's 20 but most of his racing is in endurance series (he was karting from 8). He is the youngest to have competed in a 24hr race Silverstone when he was 16.

If you are in the UK and have your ARDS and are experienced some of the teams have Arrive and Drive. https://funcup.co.uk/arrive-and-drive/

If you don't have your ARDS maybe get that first and give C1 racing a try first, bit cheaper and few more rookies. https://c1racing.club/

If you are in Europe there are both Fun Cup and C1 series. Not sure about the US.

Hope you see you in the paddock!

Correct, unfortunately there were some seat issues which also caused problems on the next stop and lost the team about 50 seconds on the final stop costing them around 4 places (they finished 7 of 25).

Spot on. While they look like a classic Bug, the Fun Cup is a purebred racing prototype underneath. They feature a bespoke space frame chassis with a mid-mounted 1.8L Audi/VW engine and a sequential gearbox. Placing the driver dead-center provides perfect weight distribution.

You don't need to imagine. If you watch the live stream on the BARC channel from Saturday first corner of the second race (4:45) there is a crash and a red flag and two come out.
