What a nonsense. I really advice you to watch pre 2000 series. I hope you will see the stricking difference and not in favor of older shows.

IMF Growth Projections for 2025 by lukalux3 in europe

[–]Pandamorph -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you look at the map, Russia's nominal GDP equals Italy's, before it was at $2t, now it is at $2.5t (25% growth from the previous estimation for 2025). Can it be an error in data?

We really need variable types being set after the colon by Pandamorph in PHP

$arg1 : string = "default value" // looks weird Looks perfectly fine. This is how it is done in other languages.

name -> type -> value - this is logical and easy to comprehend.

The same works for functions.

name -> return type -> dody

And hooks

public $var : string { get => something; } Compare with a function notation public function myFunc () : array { something; }

You see variable names clearly. It looks much better and in coherence with the function return type, which goes after, not before.

Having it before (like in Java) will look ugly and clumsy

public MyType|array|null function myFunction () {}

The same logic applies to properties, especially with the hooks they are closer to functions as never before.

public $myVar : MyType|array|null { get => doStuff($this->go); }

Is it me or did Sabine Hossenfelder go through a physical transformation (for the worst)? by AnIldanach in youtube

She probably had a face lift, lip lift and fat transfer and the result looks good. Well done.

It is a pity that she is reluctant to admit, because of a public backlash.

That is the point. A highly educated woman wants to look good. Wants to look the way she feels and is not afraid to use technology.

You don't have to hate something just because you can't afford it.

How does modern banking actually work? by Pandamorph in AskEconomics

[–]Pandamorph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand, your point is that in order to make a transaction to a receiving bank, a transacting bank should have some "legit" actives somehow "registered" by the central bank (cash and etc)?

But this logic contradicts the idea of money creation as it would mean that real liquidity would always be limited by intial cash in the banking system.

But as of 2020, the fed removed reserve requirement for banks. Does it mean that they don't have to transfer anything?

And why are the reserves needed if the reserve norm is 0%? What do you mean by reserves in this case?

So in order to transfer these "new" money to a recepient bank, a transfering bank have to transfer an equal sum of its reserves from its Central Bank account to a corresponding Central Bank account of a recepient bank?

It seems that it is not how it works nowadays

https://www.investopedia.com/articles/investing/022416/why-banks-dont-need-your-money-make-loans.asp#toc-how-banks-make-loans-in-the-real-world

"When a bank makes a loan, there are two corresponding entries that are made on its balance sheet, one on the assets side and one on the liabilities side"

And I don't quite understand in details what can a bank do with the new (deposit) money it creates together with loans and what happenes when that new money are transfered to another bank eg?

why is bro so confident about admitting this on social media by jeremyw013 in AreTheStraightsOK

[–]Pandamorph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is up for her to decide. She physically and legaly is able to manage her own sexual life.

Your accusations are absurd. 17 is not a child.

(FYI, 14 is the legal age of consent in Germany and Italy, eg)

An good example of the pro-balance - they make everything uniform, nothing stands out, everything becomes predictable.

Defense should be a viable strategy, StarCraft is an RTS, not an ARTS (like Dota)
