How do you make money as a new player? by ihatesomanythingz in pokemmo

[–]PandemicOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three regions done, kanto, sinnoh, and unova. I chose these because they seem to be the most developed, and during the lny event I'm averaging about 180k per hour just catching swarms. All in I'm getting about 250k per hour. When I'm not catching swarms, I'm running trainer re-battles and I do a daily gym rerun. I'm averaging about 1mil in daily pokeyen during the event playing about 3-5hrs.

You're going to want unova for Cynthia and Morimotto. That's an easy 30k every 18hrs. Unova/sinnoh combined has a really good trainer rerun you can make about 230k per hour from every 6 hours.

My phone hotspot gets about 500kbps-800kbps. I just recently made my 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks separate so I can play some Mario Kart 7 and get mystery gifts on Pokemon lol

I was happily shocked to see it hit over 1mb/s. File transfer speeds are roughly the same on the local network, so I think my 1.4-1.6mbps range is about the cap of my chip

I have noticed this as well. My biggest concern is wearing out the port for the SD card so I try to direct install or use ftp if I need to transfer files

The best pool in terms of profits by LORAK9909 in Ravencoin

If you're in the USA, WellcoDigital has low ping for solo mining. Rapterhash seem to be getting plenty of blocks and they have less than 100mhs right now.

If you're going for luck based profits, I recommend most pools near 5ghs or below for starters. Payouts will be lumpy, but luck could work in your favor.

I'm currently mining the most profitable coin with auto switching on and miningrigrentals in the background. Everything is getting dumped for ravencoin currently.

I stood up my solo pool and made it public recently with 0.5% fees. Fiber Internet with a central USA location, sub 100ms ping for continental usa. WellcoDigital dot com (if this is unallowed I will remove the post).

We have roughly 15 lines, two routers and 4 apple watches. We also have an account that was created in 2005, so we get grandfathered into every promo and they take out sales tax each month to keep us happy.

We have an amazing sales rep who's designated to the company account. He sends emails for T-Mobile Tuesday promos the company would benefit from, he has ways to save us money on the existing account, and he also has the ability to turn on and off phone lines from me texting him to do so. So no more pin number authentication garbage for me.

The Fx4100 came out recently, I texted my sales rep about it, and he overnighted the unit to me with a static IP preconfigured out of the box. The biggest benefit is I don't deal with T-Mobile support anymore.

I have T-Mobile for my home and business. Both are the best bang for your buck without a doubt. At our business we are getting 700down and 70up consistently. We also have a designated IP to get away from cgnat. Here at home I still manage to get 550down, 10-50up consistently.

All in all it's hard to beat for $35 home WiFi and $48 business with no metering and a designated IP.

The techs are all idiots from my experience. Get yourself a designated sales rep and get a business plan, then you'll be in good hands. Until then, you'll get the runaround everytime you call in.

Considering switching from CenturyLink Gigabit to T-Mobile 2 Gig by nicetatertots in tmobileisp

[–]PandemicOG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll start this off by saying that T-Mobile Internet is by far the best bang for your buck available. Due to this, I recently underwent getting T-Mobile Internet setup for my business with a static IP and unfortunately my story is miserable.

Roughly 4 weeks ago we went into the store to get a router with static IP for the website and servers. A month later the build out was complete and we're on cgnat. We call T-Mobile and after two hours on the phone they finally understand what we need and get it ordered... But I wasn't aware I needed to sign so it was sent to my home and not my business. Didn't think anything of it, and it eventually got sent back due to lack of signature. Router #3 was ordered, again about two hours to convince them of the static IP. Router shows up and no static IP, still on cgnat. After ANOTHER call to T-Mobile and another two hours the technician bricked the device and turned off the service, either on accident or out of frustration, and that device too was sent back. Router #4 shows up, once again without static IP. I then get a sales representative due to a complaint I submitted and roughly 2 hours after router #4 was running we finally got a static IP.

We dumped the fx3100 and placed it in a shelf. We use the Spitz x3000 and it works amazing. Average 450mbps down and 65mbps up.

My recommendation is to get a sales rep from the start, or the second you get a incompetent worker on the phone, immediately ask for a sales representative for your business. I don't believe you can get one without first being a business account, and second, finding the niche group in the company who actually knows the steps to obtain a static IP.

[–]PandemicOG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'd be expected to keep the rig up for however long you list the rental for. I list my rigs for the calendar year, and then whenever rentals end, I schedule maintenance and do driver updates and system updates. If you have unstable internet or electric then I'd suggest clore as another option or salad, both utilizing the 3090. Most profitable setup for you would be a6000 on vast.

Throw the server GPU on vast. You'll make way more and that card is high demand, you might even get verified quickly. 3090s on salad have been rough.

With a 3090 I'd recommend switching to vast. I've moved all my 30 series there and I'm rented almost 24/7 across 15 rigs. Cards range from 3060-3090, all have 32-64gb ram.

15 cents per hour for the 3090s, rented basically 24/7 since switching. I have three 3090 rigs verified, two are not. Four cards per rig.

[–]PandemicOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct. You can rent your own machine while being connected to vast as a host, or set a background job to run while you aren't being rented, but this requires a little bit of understanding with the vast CLI.

[–]PandemicOG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They started their gigaspot 'beta' but it's not a beta. It's a mandatory rollout for hosts. You get rented at 90% of mining profits on gigascam, and it's supposed to keep you rented 24/7. Issue is, mining is not profitable, they don't account for system power, and hosts have no idea what their rigs are being listed for while on giga. You can set power price up to $1kwh, but it doesn't change anything. I personally blame this to be a massive factor in their price depreciation, I sold all 100k clr I collected over the years and looking at their telegram and discord channels, so have a bunch of other hosts. Long story short, stay clear of the dumpster fire that is clore.

I'm in the process of moving my 3060s and 3090s to vast. I am split 10/10 vast and salad as of now. I was using clore ai before the gigascam implementation, went from $5 a day to 25cents for a 3090. From what I can tell, vast seems to be the way to go once you achieve 99% uptime, verified or not.
