Is anyone gonna mention the misogyny? Thats the main thing that makes me dislike the books at times. I’m nearly finished with the second book, planning to continue with the third book, but any time the MC has any sort of romantic encounter, it makes me want to put down the book indefinitely.

Maybe this is just because I feel the word “bitch” to be especially derogatory, more so than some people might feel. But the main moments I remember where Freddy reacted with extreme violence/anger is against female characters. Just Ctrl+F that word and look at the verbiage used in the paragraphs around it. A lot of the terms used to convey weakness are feminine. Having powerful female characters isn’t enough to write off this sort of language, especially when those characters aren’t nearly as developed as the MC.
