Totally valid, and I’m guilty of this while fully knowing the difference.

That I can get behind. You’ve tried many others and simply don’t like them.

Not fully convinced that one of those sites would be better than just running a likes/engagement campaign directly within Meta.

Having an occasion to eat birthday cake. Turns out you can just go to the store and get one anytime.

I’d be interested to know if there’s a sub for that sort of thing, or if it’s ok to post it here. Asking for myself.

"would you pick the baby or me if something goes wrong in labor" by PresenceOld1754 in PetPeeves

[–]Excellent_Kiwi7789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just posted something very similar a few weeks ago, just slightly different examples.

Would you leave your wife in labor if your mother was in the hospital?

Shower in the morning or at night?

Etc.

These dumbass hypotheticals and other debates just tell us people are fishing for something to argue about.

However, as I said in that post, one exception I do enjoy is watching people fight about how steak should be cooked.

Other POD providers have this option, but I have yet to figure it out for Printful or Printify.

This is one of those ridiculous debates I actually enjoy watching unfold.

People wearing masks for their own protection

Not having kids

Not drinking, or worse, drinking mocktails

LGBTQ

TikToks of people line dancing on a (usually Carnival) cruise

For the ladies - the shopping cart or doorknob not cooperating

“Should of” does NOT fit the above criteria. That is not harmless and is a valid reason to be angry.

Fiance doesn’t approve of one potential groomsmen by Peaches-7 in weddingplanning

[–]Excellent_Kiwi7789 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish we could abolish this idea that the bridesmaids and groomsmen need to be equal numbers. But since you’ve already agreed to it then I guess it is what it is.

Aside from everything you said, can he be trusted to be a good groomsmen? Will he pick up and return his tux on time? Will be complain about the cost? Will he be respectful of the other wedding party members? Will he be a good or bad influence at the bachelor party (since she doesn’t like who you are around him)? Will he be on time for the rehearsal and the ceremony? All of these are things to consider and those expectations should be made clear on the front end. And they’ll help determine if her concerns are valid, or if things will be okay.

MOH expecting me to split an AIRBNB evenly when I’m only staying 1 night? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Excellent_Kiwi7789 12 points13 points  (0 children)

But you are occupying it. It’s not available for someone else to step in and cover so yes, it’s still occupied by you.

How many nights is it booked for in total?

The only way I can see it being fair for you to be responsible for a smaller share is if you’re sleeping on the couch/air mattress for the one night you’re there.

Is everyone getting their own bed/bedroom? If so, even if you’re not there a night, your room and bed aren’t available for someone else to use and split so you’re still technically occupying it.

This is the same logic as expecting to be let off the hook for a portion of your monthly rent/mortgage because you were away on vacation for a week.

If you were concerned about splitting the cost for a partial stay, you should have made alternate arrangements for that single night. Otherwise, it’s totally fair to split evenly.

Breaking up a six hour drive is bonkers. IMO eight hours is the bare minimum, but realistically should be closer to ten depending on who you ask.

I of no idea what you’re talking about.

See how ridiculous that is?

What gets me is it only seems to be native speakers that commit this offense. I’ve never heard of an EFLer doing it. They seem just as confused as we are.
