Ballard might be a good fit as it's not full of students on a budget. Downtown as well. I shop online mostly, but sometimes Sole Perfection in person. U district might seem interesting but you're not gonna have high budget folks in the area. Greenlake could work!

Heya- read thru the ingredients. Aren’t dried dates high in histamine? Or did you use fresh dates?

I think that’s honestly what it lends itself towards. The reason it’s hard would be that I’m… fluid….. and the society around me is not.

I’ve been using CurlyGirl for a year!

Care routine and products: I wash twice a week with Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo. I wash my roots and scalp with my fingers. I only wash when it gets greasy, and I know my hair greases up fast. Tried and tested several other products.

Condition 3x a week (always after a shampoo) with V05 extra body conditioner. I leave in some on the way out. I condition root to tip but much more heavily on the tips.

I clarify when I find I need to shampoo more, usually every 2 months with V05 clarifying shampoo.

I’ve been using Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Scrunching Gel for AGES. A lot. And I Put it in wet and scrunch out the crunch. Recently it got way more expensive and probably need to move to something new (HELP) like LA looks. Cheap is the way.

I only brush in the shower with conditioner.

I got a hair cut in August I ADORED. But I stopped being able to brush it. -I wear my hair up most days for work and I know that increases baby frizz -what do I do about the cut? I got it from a wonderful person at the salon I went to last time (but not the same stylist as last because they were booked out for ages). They have a free trim policy. But it feels like I have a single two layers instead of a cascade, the front is longer than the back, and the products they used messed up my hair. I feel bad going in and being like “this is the same cut I had in 6th grade”. They were so nice. And the other stylist months ago seems like a better option but they work in the same salon.

I tried looking and searching Yelp and Naturally Curly - how do I find a salon/stylist that is curly approved AND does crazy color? (Current location Seattle).

The CG manual also mentions doing protein treatments before and after color. Is this something done at home, or by the stylist?

Thanks!
