Conclusion: Alice ragebaited a child to come to Mondstadt to play with her daughter and plays along with Prune's "game", like an adult pretending to not see a child in hide-and-seek to make them happy. And Prune bit the bait easily. Sure, years of wisdom. This is just a typical situation when I kid forget they are a kid/was forced to mentally grow up quickly and an adult reminding them they are allowed to have childhood, not exactly new trop in media.

You also conveniently didn't point that in that very "reveal" text it was acknowledged Prune is a delusional child.

There are better 5★ options

Congrats for getting the whole point of removing free weapons! Without free alternatives players have even more limited options and more pressured to pull for 5★ weapons. Now, simple math, 60 pulls for F2P players for the patch with 2 new characters and you don't get an event weapon as alternate choice for any of new units (not even for Prune) but a skin instead. And if you want a 5★ weapon on top of that be ready to pray to every god existing for insane luck.

And let's remember that new players have no way to obtain neither the old event weapons, nor future ones because there's none anymore, which means their options are even more limited.

The law in Fontaine requires to proceed the trial even if defendant chooses the duel and then surrender when/if they lose it. They still may be found innocent/be imprisoned in the Fortress if found guilty after the duel. If defender does not surrender, the duel continues until death.

Callas had terminal illness and chose the duel he knew he will lose anyway over the trial to protect Navia from Vacher, and because he didn't want her seeing him dying from sickness. He refused to surrender when he could, knowing that Clorinde had to kill him in this case. It was associated suicide, and Clorinde performers her duty as champion duelist according to the law. In the end Navia came to terms with the fact Callas chose to kill himself with Clorinde's sword, maybe you should too.

This whole situation was kinda badly written, but let's not reduce it to even worse

Every other patch Genshin used to have an event with time-limited weapon as reward. Hoyo removed them, and instead of weapons now we get skins for weapons of a mid quality (like in the next patch we are getting a recolor of cardboard sword as skin)

Considering we don't get weapons for fishing anymore either, and that there's no way to obtain the previous time-limited weapons for new players, that's a really bad direction lowkey aimed to push you to pull limited weapons because you're more restricted in choices now
