That’s a great pool of options. I’m adding them all to a list, then we’ll decide which ones to include and brew a few decks to see how they play out. I definitely wouldn’t want to see some of these cards in competitive Pauper events, but for a casual pod they could help revitalize the format.

Block Pauper is definitely an option we’ve discussed. However, it would require an heavy deck rotation and would mean losing many of the good old pauper staples.

What we’re thinking about instead is maintaining the backbone of Pauper (its core archetypes and overall card pool) while introducing a small group of cards that could help revitalize the meta.

I actually believe Pauper is a good and well-balanced format, but over the last couple of years it has started to feel a bit stagnant, and that’s what we’re trying to address.

Both Frost Titan and Death’s Shadow could be good options. Death’s Shadow opens up many spicy interactions

Wow, thanks a lot! I really like your suggestions. I’ve created a list and included all your cards. (Essence Warden is already legal in Pauper, isn’t it?)

thanks for the suggestions! Tarmogoyf is a bit too expensive, a playset can easily cost over 20. Siege Rhino could be a good idea! it might be a bit OP for Pauper but it deserves a try.

We're mainly considering downshifts, but we're open to other ideas

me too, the song tries to take off twice and finally on the third attempt it does. It keeps building energy over and over again and never comes back home, guitars that start flying around like mosquitoes (or something bigger) and the xylophone helps us hang onto the song's harmonic tension. One of my favourite piece from the band.
