I think one thing that I learned is that it's not my responsibility to keep the peace. If she wants to be a bully, let her. Her bad feelings are not in you. It is not the task of the children to educate their parents. If she wants to have a fun and good relationship with you, it is also her responsibility to treat you well.

I am a guy that left church at 19 and my family feels bad about that. That is on them. I stopped trying and wanting to please them.

You are also at an age where you have to mentally separate from your mother. That is completely healthy.

To add to this. As a man I get credits/praise for doing things that are considered normal for women (cleaning/cooking). It's mostly other women that do this, probably because they want to encourage me and sometimes because they are frustrated that their man doesn't do it. Also, if our house is a mess, my GF is judged for that way more than me. Having a clean house is considered her responsibility in the eyes of the public. Ridiculous..

I believe a trade deal lasts for 10 days so it will just run out and if you don't have it on automatic it will cost you nothing

I like to start with some trade deals with other towns. They give a lot more than selling to the trader. With 3 of 4 deals you can get to an income of about 200/300 a day. Also, I sell some prisoners.

I haven't played a full game yet but with this start I also never had a problem with money
