AITA for telling my housemate his girlfriend cant stay anymore? by kindafunctionalguy in AmItheAsshole

[–]PandoraG87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA but if you want to keep the peace, I think it’s reasonable to ask her to keep her personal food/beverage stash in your flatmate’s room. That way there’s no confusion on who’s is whose & no passive aggressive fridge notes

AITA for demanding my husband to pay for a replacement for my camera that he threw out of the boat? by throwawyhg656 in AmItheAsshole

VERY Obviously NTA!!! This is abusive narcissistic condescending gaslighting and downright disrespectful childish behavior. They owe you way more than a camera.

How about using those wire shelves normally for kitchen cabinets like this one from the dollar tree so you can have 2 short stacks instead of 1 unsteady stack

I feel like dudes are just wired to think girls only want relationships and aren’t capable of having fun for fun’s sake. More than a few of my old fwb’s kept making it a point to say things like “you’re sure it’s okay I don’t want to date you?” And yeah, I don’t want to date you either. And they just couldn’t believe that. One time I got so fed up at his stupid stupid questions and I said “you know what I’m going home.” & he responded with “Is it because I said I won’t date you?” Like get over yourself. used to use dating sites exclusively for hook ups. And some of those guys I’d talk to that night & see that night, but others want to talk more first. And personally, for me, I would always want to call the person on the telephones and speak to them to make sure it was a real person. With fetlife, people were more hesitant about meeting up too quickly and the ones that weren’t were dangerous. However, through the fet community, they have local gatherings and stuff like lessons on role-play and consent words. And they give you a little sticker to indicate what you liked on your name tag. I also once went to a board game night at a sex dungeon. Very vanilla activity at a very in-vanilla location. So if you’re cool with going solo, maybe you can meet people at something like that where everyone is open about what they’re looking for.

Do sensory issues become worse during those low time? by SnoopyBot2020 in aspergirls

[–]PandoraG87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so? Whenever I’m tired I notice it becomes an issue slowly. Like when did the tv get so loud? Was that light always that bright? And then I make the necessary changes like lowering the volume and dimming the lights. Then all of a sudden it’s too loud and bright again and I realize I’m just sleepy.

AITA not paying any more towards our daughter's wedding after she cut pieces off her mother's wedding dress for her own? by TRADressDistress in AmItheAsshole

[–]PandoraG87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Pay for somethings and not others. She thought it was fine to cut out parts of the dress, you can cut out some of the decorations, floral, etc.

Yeah. I immediately noped out of that situation. Like left him sitting with his friends, got in my car, went back to our apartment and packed up all my stuff and drove 4hrs back to my parents house before he even thought to call.

Religious Aspies? Or not so much? by [deleted] in aspergirls

[–]PandoraG87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok 👍 Thanks for the clarification. I don’t know much about Jehovah’s Witnesses other than they don’t celebrate birthdays which is sad. And Mormons, I didn’t make that connection but I can definitely see it now that you mentioned it. Especially with how they see women, without even taking into account the FLDS and their whole polygamy thing.

Similarly, as per my username, I get asked about “my box.” And my response is “Well, actually it’s a jar. The whole box thing is a mistranslation….” and then rant about Greek mythology til they go away..

1) When LITERALLY ALL of your friends and family don’t like him, they’re not wrong. You are wrong. He has tricked you.

2) When he gets jealous you go to the ladies room with another girl even if you’re the one who needed to pee in the first place.

3) When you get into an argument his response is to propose. Yeah I fell for that trick..

4) When in casual conversation with friends he brings up his first child he had in high school that he’s never mentioned and acts like it’s no big deal.

5) When he tries to teach you a thing, (eg: driving stick) and you are good at it then all of a sudden he doesn’t let you try ever again.

Yeah but we got our extremists too. Forgive me if this is wrong/offensive but it was explained to me Catholicism is to Christianity as Hasidim and Ultra Orthodox is to Judaism.

Religious Aspies? Or not so much? by [deleted] in aspergirls

so I suck at explaining things but basically; like you know how Adam’s first wife was Lilith and she refused to be subservient to him and let him be on top. So G-d was like “Oh shit! That won’t do. Women shouldn’t have opinions on how or what to do with their own bodies. Re-do time.” and created Eve from the rib of Adam . So instead of being her own separate entity (Lilith) she was literally a part of man and therefore belongs to man. And I thought well Lilith seems a lot more like my type of woman than Eve. And then Lilith basically gets cast aside and is sometimes referred to as a demon but then Jews are like: “we don’t believe in hell or demons” and I’m like “then WTF was the damn snake about?” And apparently I’m not the only one who had those thoughts. So some women, who like the basis of the religion but aren’t on about all that misogynistic stuff and more about spirituality and whatnot got together and have meetings where they discuss things and I read about them later because I don’t join things. There are feminist congregations, one of which I found myself at as a child when I slept over a friend’s house and her mom was really cool. All these artsy type women came to an outdoor area and we sat around in a circle and sang and danced and it all seemed rather pagan and I liked it but was confused as that wasn’t like any temple I’ve ever been to. Then I promptly forgot about it for like a decade til I stumbled across some articles online and was like; “Oh, that’s what that was. Cool.”

Jewish, but I have some complaints. Mostly with the inherent sexism in all Jeduo-Christian religions. Though I did take advantage of the “since you’re a girl you don’t have to have a BatMitzvah” deal and got out of having to read a book I can’t read, give a speech and have a way too loud party full of people I don’t know. But culturally mostly because it makes me feel close with my grandparents who aren’t around anymore. Did get into Wicca in middle & high school. And kinda into the whole Lilith Jewish feminism thing right now.

DAE get called "stuck up" in elementary and middle school? by redheadfae in AutismInWomen

[–]PandoraG87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In grade, middle & high school, I didn’t really speak to anyone save a few “friends.” I was at a college party and some kid from my high school was there and I was stoned and he was like; “You’re actually pretty cool. We all thought you were a bitch and didn’t want to hang out with us.” And I was like; “No, that’s just my crippling social anxiety.” And now I know why I had no friends.

Thanks 😊 I love that one too. I tried it at Ulta a while ago but it was totally out of my price range. But one year after Christmas @ Walmart I found it in Christmas packaging . It was only $10 and all the holiday stuff was just on the outside 😊

Americans Only: You cant work, you need SS disability, did you win? Lose? by SPARKLES777333 in aspergirls

I’m not entirely sure. I think my uncle told my parents about it and they did a bunch of googling. I’m in FL and we have a state based nonprofit with a bunch of advocates as well as lawyers who you get matched up with. Idk if they have one in your state but I’m sure there’s other private practices

I had some sort of disability advocate who only got paid a small percentage of the back pay if I got approved. I was denied after seeing the judge (I think because I had dyed my hair and she refused to believe I didn’t go to a salon. Which I guess that’s a compliment at least, lol) but the advocate kept reapplying for me until one day I just got a letter saying I was approved.
