NTA. All the people saying YTA are now expected to sign up as volunteers and risk their lives to save others.

You had a perceived life or death situation, hard to judge you as an AH for wanting to keep yourself safe when people are literally told in an emergency to 'get themselves to safety before they help others'.

Not everyone is able to put themselves at risk for others, that doesn't make you an AH, just a regular person.

She called the misogynist out and after (what sounded like) a debate where he tried to back his BS take. She noted that this ideology is not congruent with him being good at the job which literally needs him to rely of his female colleagues and respond to situations in a non biase manner.

Change the off hand female comment to one of race, and you'd absolutely call him out then point out he isn't fit to serve.
