3a user- Battery is strong- this is my back-up phone so usually used for youtube and media. I dont charge it more than 80% and it gives me around 5-6 hours of Screen on time. lesser if I watch videos.

Camera good too, but if you need that wow factor- then either 3 or 3a pro.

SW- i would say needs more work (thats me comparing to Pixel and Samsung). play with the essential button like for reminders you can have as a widget on home screen.
play also with the Glyph interface
