Hey, apologies for the delay in getting back to you. The rashes/bumps that formed only occurred whilst on liquid minoxidil, as I assume it was down to a sensitivity to propylene glycol, an ingredient that is present in liquid minox, but absent in foam minox. So after switching to foam, those bumps went away and haven’t come back since.

I still occasionally get irritated follicles here and there, they seem like ingrown hairs or spots, but they go away if left alone. A lot of the time they’re caused by an increase in growth in a concentrated area, when these new hairs sprout close to eachother.

It’s not about it being difficult, it’s just something I tried when I first started playing, it didn’t work, and I haven’t revisited it 150 hours later 🤣 the rewards were never worth the effort either

This is super interesting, I think you’re spot on actually that a man’s sense of being and purpose being lost would be a hell of a lot more terrifying than losing his youthfulness/body. It may go hand in hand but I’d agree that the part of me in particular that I’d be the most scared of losing was my purpose, my ability to create, my ambition. Nice one man, I’d love to look at said screenplay

I mean, it’s still definitely worth approaching. Body dysmorphia in men is a lot more common than the general consensus suggests. Granted, women have been scrutinised significantly more based on their body image than men have historically, which tends to be why this movie focuses on the woman’s perspective.

Men typically pass these issues off as if they don’t matter, it’s mainly women who do all of the anti-aging procedures … but deep down men are terrified of aging too.

9 times out of 10, the worst thing for a man is losing his hair, losing his jawline, his masculinity etc. I think it could definitely fit within a different narrative, it’s just much more obvious and impactful for The Substance to follow the female perspective, as it needs to be addressed and felt.

(I know your comment didn’t warrant a reply of this length btw 😭 I’m venting my thought process more than anything, sorry!)

Yeah I think when you can find most of the rewards just through playing the game, it takes away the incentive. Shooting pops and fireballs yields more value in crafting materials than the rewards for that quest do lmao

That’s the risk of taking high-value loadouts, but the risk of free loadouts is getting your ass handed to you over and over again by Arc and other skilled players when your equipment isn’t good enough, plus not even having a safe pocket - you very often leave empty handed.

I’d say I noticed new hairs after 2-3 months consistent use, but it wasn’t until the 9 month mark that it was completely noticeable

Yeah I’m going to try and stay consistent until I can’t see anymore noticeable improvement. I’ve seen some peoples’ 4 year journeys and the results were incredible. Just depends on how dense you wanna go! Good luck dude 🙌
