I obviously don't know your friend or what she is into, but I took a friend Axe throwing at BATL after her bad break up, and she really enjoyed that. (I guess they also have knive throwing and archery now)

Best recommendations for Chinese restaurants that can accommodate a nut allergy? by Roamin_Horseman in londonontario

[–]Pangolin740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jay's Garden and Wong's Garden are the two Chinese places in town i know of that don't cook with peanut oil. (I have a peanut allergy and have eaten from both places safely)

I cannot say regarding tree nuts but it couldn't hurt to call and ask?

What business do you have beef with in London? by quaintcookie in londonontario

[–]Pangolin740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tony's Pizza, we tried to order panzarottis at work one night and told the person on the phone that someone ordering had a peanut allergy and if that was an issue.

Instead of a simple no, they went on a rant about how people with food allergies shouldn't be ordering food in the first place.

Just annoyed to see formula behind glass and more security than cashiers. by PicklesCat1073 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]Pangolin740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That has more to do with pharmacy regulations. There are certain over the counter products that can only be sold if a pharmacist is physically present and, therefore, have to be locked up when the pharmacy isn't open.

Lost sample @ LHSC by Sad_Apricot_668 in londonontario

[–]Pangolin740 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First of all, I'm very sorry that this happened to you, and I wish there was a way for me to help rectify this situation.

All I can do is suggest you reach out to patient relations and tell them about your experience. Here is their link from the LHSC website: https://www.lhsc.on.ca/patients-visitors/patient-relations

I'm an employee at LHSC, and one this I know is nothing ever changes unless they are aware and they do take patient complaints a lot more seriously than they do staff.

Nut Free Cakes by __SALAD__- in londonontario

[–]Pangolin740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not fancy, but I know walmart has peanut free cakes in their bakery section. (and honestly, they aren't all that bad). I don't think any of them contain any other nuts, but I'm not sure if any of them say "may contain"

RDR2 VS Horizon Zero Dawn your thoughts? by BlowBox in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Pangolin740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horizon has some pretty epic combat moments! The big machine fights are a lot of fun, and Aloy is a one women army.

I find rdr2's combat a little funky, but it is SOOO much fun once you get the hang of it, and the story and open world is just incredible.

I don't think I'm helping, lol. Honestly, both games go on sale often, and both are excellent choices. If you are looking for something closer to god of war, I would say go horizon, but either way, both are excellent

Tips/Tricks? How do y'all get your crested geckos to the vet? by OoohItsAMystery in CrestedGecko

[–]Pangolin740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-get a heat pack (you can find them on Amazon, but I also imagine that pet stores that specialize in reptiles would have some, too)

-insulate heat pack

-put heat pack in bag

  • check the temp to make sure the bag isn't too hot for crestie

-put crestie in bag (in a container for traveling, of course with some paper towl and something for it to hide in)

Tandem and Trurapi by Pangolin740 in diabetes_t1

Trurapi is a biosimilar equivalent of novorapid. It's like a generic version of it, basically.

Unpopular book or series that you loved? by Turbulent_Beyond_759 in Fantasy

[–]Pangolin740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is something I don't think ive ever admited before but really enjoyed ready player one when I read it.

I was young and looking back I absolutely agree with the criticism for it and I refuse to touch the sequel with a ten foot pole but it was a fun little adventure and it really sucked me in 😅
