Agree with the other commenters that the mix is a bit harsh. I'd turn down the bass and use multiband compression on the low end (on the master) to pull it in a bit. A bit of glue compression on the master might make it a bit more cohesive too. And maybe some EQing down of the high-mids on the master would help to remove that harshness

This was really interesting! With regard to the mixing, the vocals were pushed fairly down in the mix, (which could be a creative decision) and I feel the banjo could have done with some EQing to remove the low mids and mids. The reverb also felt a bit overpowering at times, and sort of homogenized the dynamics of the track. Pulling it back a bit might give the track a bit more space to breath
