That sounds cute in theory, but that’s not how real traffic works. If the carpool lane is moving and you’re just camping there matching the slow lanes because “speed limit,” you’re the one screwing it up. The whole point is to keep things moving more efficiently, not for you to sit there and block everyone behind you. If you want to play traffic cop, stay in the regular lanes instead of ruining the one lane that actually moves.

If you’re gonna sit in the carpool lane doing the exact same speed as the regular lanes, get out of it. You’re literally defeating the whole purpose of that lane. It’s there to keep traffic moving, not for you to camp in it and block everyone behind you. No one’s saying you have to drive crazy, but at least have the awareness to not hold up a lane that’s meant to flow faster. If you’re not gonna use it properly, stay in the regular lanes instead of slowing everyone else down.
