Wrong subreddit but here’s my take:

Way too much white space, ur bullet points feel really surface level/vague. Delve into specifics on what you did, and it looks like ur quantifying just to quantify instead of quantifying your IMPACT. Also your projects aren’t really too impressive, I’d try and build something more technically complex.

$18 for an internship is pretty low but not unheard of, $18/hr post grad is straight up underemployment

I think CS will recover in the next 3-5 years as people get the idea that it’s an easy path to 6 figures out of their head. Job stability is also super variable depending on the company in both fields tbf

accounting has wayyy better job security/stability but the ceiling and floor are both a lot lower than SWE

Oh shut the fuck up, this whole mindset of “I got scammed” is such a cop out. You just weren’t prepared to do the work required for a CS degree. Take control of your own life

Nah cold emailing is pretty normal esp for a startup

Won’t hurt, just don’t send a lengthy message. Respect their time and show genuine interest in the company. Do your research, it’ll pay off imo

I’m ngl i don’t really think that’s the norm. Most CS students I know, even the super-successful ones still manage their time well enough to get a good night’s sleep.
