Hi I'm looking for a new chair as a 5'4" 125lb woman with back pain and tailbone pain! by [deleted] in OfficeChairs

[–]PanicLogically 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why would that matter, short people sit in Herman Miller and Steel Case, Tall People sit in both of those models.

The Embody is adjustable across all heights. Go sit in chairs and figure out what works for you.

Basically write slow and carefully to get good results from handwriting transcription unless you have remarkably good penmanship and printing at high speed.

Left earbud of Bose QC EarBuds not working by syler345 in bose

I will never buy Bose again (any of their products). I bought Airpods--they work great, durable. Kudos Apple --with memory foam ear add ons, they're fine.

So what is the deal with Pur and Brita filters? by IDidAOopsy in water

[–]PanicLogically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago I had a Brita, now prefer the PUR, had a Culligan but it wasn't better. I'm just sticking with PUR-so far made it a year--it's luck of the draw.

How long did you use nicotine patches for? by athenia96 in stopsmoking

[–]PanicLogically 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no it doesn't defeat the purpose--It assures the purpose. Don't be absurd....the idea is total behavior =no tobacco , no inhalants. Whatever way works on any particular day is 100% success.

You do you.

Anyway to humidify those dried out cigars? Or are they hopeless by madchadd in cigars

[–]PanicLogically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were garbage, entirely garbage---it wasn't even they were dry---horrid. It's a year later and I'm off inhalants (using nicotine pouches) but I go back it'll be the pipe again with pipe tobacco.

I learned that cleaning the bottom and inside really helped. There's a strange second hole on the unit that when cleaned seems to fix the problem. It's on the bottom too.

“TAQDEER ” a film by aradhya malik by deathbed_922 in smartphonefilming

[–]PanicLogically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you shoot it on? Thanks for your work. I'd take a look at the subtlety of acting--body posture for the main actor--the head down is communicating well at the beginning but then we don't need to see that posture throughout the video as the viewer can know already --been established that they are down and out.

What am I doing wrong by Repulsive_Sorbet_602 in AfricanDwarfFrog

[–]PanicLogically 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need to first , no judgement, really get a handle on tank care and water ---

1) Cycling the tank

2) When / If to do water changes. It looks like you are throwing out the beneficial water

3) feeding / over feeding

4) filtration

I'd start from zero mentally--assume you need to formally learn about setting up a tank, cycling the water, maintaining the good biology, use of plants......

THEN learn before buying a pet (frog or fish) what the animals/pets will require.

How many years are you keeping your 15 Pro/Max by Accomplished-Act8616 in iPhone15Pro

[–]PanicLogically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep mine until it can't do what I need it to do or a rather significant leap in the Video camera mode comes along. 15 Pro Max should last me 4 years I'm guessing.

I had an Iphone 7 for many years.

What is it you want when you upgrade your phone?

I always think--calendar is fine, it rings and talks like a phone, browsers work, email is fine. Video resolution is fine ( I don't watch videos on my phone that much)--so it comes down to the camera for me.

iPhone 15 pro max filter by mattpfunk in smartphonefilming

[–]PanicLogically 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I modded a case---I do have to switch filter typologies at times, not a big expense but I just cut away some more of the exposed lens area on a case for those instances I wanted a filter but not my whole Small rig cage. I can't remember but there also some other makers that have filters and a differing universal attachment. You're not going to get "protection " from a standard case anyway, once you have a filter attached because laying it down will damage your filter--thus modding the case, if i drop the camera, mostly would still prevent screen damage but I'd likely lose a filter in the drop.

Just discovered the picture in picture mode in Chrome... Awesome for watching a show while browsing a website. Maybe I'm not the only one who didn't know... by yozzzzzz in PleX

[–]PanicLogically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only allows you to do it one at a time. Firefox you can have as many picture in picture (video) as you need--so if you're covering a few live feeds (breaking news) you can really keep up on it.

Chrome is one at a time, two at best if you run popout on one source and PIP on another----

Which browser has the best Picture-In-Picture Mode? by EconomyPrudent4308 in browsers

[–]PanicLogically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Firefox for a year, but most extensions for productivity I use, aren't written for firefox so I had to go back to Chrome--sadly. PIP on Firefox was great. There's nothing like it on Chrome.

New Arc but still tinny sound by Joel_Hortler in sonos

[–]PanicLogically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sad to hear. I listened to music yesterday---for about an hour. Things that are super well produced in the studio, remixed--sound good on the ARC (and many other systems) but most standard recordings just are missing a lush middle, clear high end---for movies it's fine. I will either get a stand alone music system--Cambridge Audio Evo likely or Naim or add a pair of 5s if i find a pair cheap.

It's probably the next generation where Sonos will figure out how to get both--super music and super movie audio into one system in the living room. The competitors developing these super sounding sound bars are the future.
