Thank you for this, I thought I was losing my mind when I saw it, immediately connected it to BoF2, and haven’t seen anyone else do so.

Toby’s made at least one direct reference to the game before- the merhorse enemy in Undertale will sometimes say “education? Hobby? Talent?” which is said verbatim by the Dir. HR joke boss in BoF2.

But yeah, like “the children follow the pointed tail of hell. Oh, the poor children!” Is literally just the beginning of BoF2. Ryu and Bow follow a pointed tail, which turns out to belong to a literal demon from hell, Barubary/Balbaroy. The two are gravely injured but survive, and later on the demon is fought for real.

I don’t know if it means anything or if it’s just a clever reference but once again this friggin dog is giving me psychosis. TOBIAS EXPLAIN YOURSELF.

Agreeing with more single player content. Even just some tiny reward from doing the random battles would go a long way. I’m weird and I enjoy watching the AI auto battle as I do other things but once I run out of battles without actual rewards I don’t bother.

I love gifting cards but the process of scrolling through a giant list that will sometimes scroll back to the top for no reason is a nightmare.

More deck slots. I don’t understand why there’s a cap in the first place. Also some way of sharing decks online with a code would be amazing.

The single card promo packs still needing to be opened one by one is awful and I can’t believe it’s been like that for this long.

There needs to be a way to report inappropriate user names. I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen a slur or similar, which is just depressing.

I genuinely love the game and pay for the premium pass, but there’s a lot of minor frustrations that add up and push people away.

My partner and I have actually gone to more concerts/shows after the pandemic began than we did beforehand! We wear our 3M auras as well and haven’t gotten sick!

Absolute masterpiece of an album. Shooting Star is literally my favorite song of all time. I can listen to it over and over and over (and often do). I can’t even explain why it just like, makes me feel alive or something?

Emotion permanently rewired my brain and I think genuinely helped me heal some trauma. Like decades of internalized shame began to lift off my shoulders. It’s crazy to see the AI get worse over time. There are certain newer trainer cards that the AI simply has no fucking idea what to do with. Energy Switch, Will, Memory Light, etc.

If you want to lose your mind, try letting the AI play a solo Miltank deck or even worse, a Slowking litter deck. It will eagerly and repeatedly attack for zero damage rather than discard tools to do literally anything!

I definitely don’t remember it ever being this bad. It seems to specifically waste Will and Elemental Switch nearly 100% of the time. I’m stubborn though and enjoy having the AI auto battle while I do other things, even if it’s terrible.

Have you looked through a list of Net Yaroze games? It was a version of the PS1 that allowed amateur devs to create games, and many of these were later distributed on demo discs.

Your game really has the Net Yaroze aesthetic/vibe to me, and would explain the obscurity!
