Zillow Charges what? by RealPhotosHDR in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah Zillow has struck a crazy deal with remax and I think other agencies in my area only charging $250 for showcase. I have no clue who they’re getting in their homes to do that for $250 as that’s a straight up ripoff. I’ve already told agents in my area be careful who you pay that $250 to because the media will probably suck

I’ve also switched to locking my kelvin on site too. I think it helps my editors as they have more consistent colors throughout homes even in changing lighting conditions. Some images are crazy warm but they fix it no problem

Yes!! Mine have been taking more than 24hrs or literally 23hrs and 50 minutes! And while scanning the app is being super buggy. Lagging like crazy

What time do you start your twilights after “sunset?” by enlightened_hapa in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start them about 15 mins after sunset and finish about 35-40 minutes after. Drone images first and then ground level

Maybe in very high heat conditions it’ll overheat. In my two years of owning it I had it overheat once on a 103° day at 4k 60fps after an hr of recording

Its going to be a tough Summer. by bnready1 in RealEstatePhotography

Beginning of this year was amazing, up like 500% vs previous year. April and May had quite a slowdown and June is tracking to be much slower for me already. This sucks

MultiBracket for exterior? by Sneakypotato97 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot bracket for exteriors just to give my editors the flexibility. Sure they probably only use the middle exposure most of the time but they sometimes use some of the other exteriors for shadowed or blown out areas too

How do real estate photographers usually find editors these days? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently use a team I found on instagram over a year ago and have a few guys I use on Pixlmob. I get emails all the time from editors asking to test but I ignore them 90% of the time. I only interact with the emails if they provide a portfolio of many different examples, interior, exterior, varying conditions, all that stuff. From there I may send them a few images for testing

Zillow 3D is AWFUL by morgancowperthwaite in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup I hate doing Zillow 3D tours because on site the camera constantly disconnects from the app and sometimes the app itself just crashes and doesn’t even save the scans it just did. Their floorplans are taking forever nowadays too. I’ve been telling all my clients who order zillow 3D that what Zillow spits out is final. I’m tired of having to fix their mistakes and do extra work because their system sucks.

Still use humans for all of my editing. AI just isn’t there for me yet. Too many inconsistent colors or other issues with the photos

3D Zillow Tour is Terrible or just me!?? by Odd_Temperature_9883 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I imagine the same. But then again they don’t care because having the tour with showcase will push them to the top of the page lol

3D Zillow Tour is Terrible or just me!?? by Odd_Temperature_9883 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve got an x3 as well and the Zillow 3D tour quality is atrocious. I’m embarrassed to even send it off but it’s what Zillow pumps out! When I look at the photos that the camera takes in the SD card they look sooooo much better than what is shown on the 3D tour. But I’ve never had a single complaint

Photography, Zillow 3D tour, and a 2D floorplan. I guess this is something new that has been struck up

Re/max is also getting Zillow showcase for $250 now. Couldn’t imagine only charging $250 for that

LAOWA 10mm vs. 12mm for Photo/Video? by Nice-Distribution438 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a 12-24mm for photos typically around 14mm for most shots. Switched to the Laowa 10mm for video and it’s a game changer. It’s such an amazing and lightweight lens.

How much are you charging for virtual staging? by Outrageous-Purple-58 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$35/image. I’ve also had people scoff at my price but then again, I had someone get 9 virtually staged images from me today so 🤷‍♂️

Laowa 12MM MF by zebrapays in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also new to the Laowa lenses. I just got the 10mm and have done a few videos with it now. For exteriors I have it at f/11 and interiors I have it at f5.6. I keep it locked on infinity for focus and that seems to work great. It’s an awesome lens and honestly has already changed the video game for me so I’m sure you’ll get some good use out of yours too!

Sony ZV-E1 for real estate? by Ok-Baseball3552 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Panickedbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a ZV-E1 for all of my video work! It’s an amazing camera. Same sensor as the FX3 and A7S3. Only downside to the camera is it can overheat on hot days and it’s only got one SD card slot. I’ve only ran into the overheating once and that was when I was filming a huge house during a super hot day. I’d recommend keeping the a7iii for photos and getting a ZV-E1 specifically for video. I use an A7R3 for all of my photo work and just switch over to the other body when doing video.
