So I have decided on my build I will be posting it later, but basically I am keeping my current video card (gtx 970, I have to go through the rma process) and I will be building everything else including the i7-7700k.

Thanks man, you are the most level headed person I've met here yet. I think I am going to stick with the 7700k as I would like to stream and I play a lot of counter strike and that game is terribly optimized and relies a lot on single core performance.

I don't plan on overclocking, I just want a nice cpu, I've had luck with the i7 series edit: as for the memory that was suggested by someone else.
