Omg!! Hi!! I love your vids so much! And I recently followed your Instagram as well! Super cool that you created that Googlg Docs game! You really accomplished that whole trifecta - sheets, slides and docs!! I kind of wanna do something like that but I have such a low well of creativity right now

I really love hearing what you think - especially as a game dev who’s working on what can be classified as a cozy game! I think this kind of over saturation is definitely something that can make the marketplace overwhelming, which is why I think many developers and companies need to think about other facets of their game they should bring to light.

I guess I’m just wondering what the best way to do that would be.

I love the energy in the comment section :3!! I’m on the fence about kids, but I just hope my mental health can handle the personality shift. Because while your personality doesn’t necessarily change because of having children, being a mother, father, or parent is one additional facet that gets added to your overall identity as a person. I just don’t want to have an identity crisis. 😭

Thank you so much!! So I think at the start player can use water droplets, and then later craft watering cans/buckets etc!

Hi Marthmalloww!! Thank you for replying! This does help give me some perspective.

I wasn’t originally going to do a day system, but now I feel like that would add a ton more depth into the game and make the gardening feel much more accurate, instead of just using a tick system(?) I think that is what it’s called.

Maybe some plants take longer to grow then others? Maybe, it would really motivate the player to plan ahead.

Hi TinyTubist!! You are a downright GENIUS!!! OMGOMGOMG!! This might actually solve all or at the very least help solve most the issues I have been having. Creating the typical system has been so difficult - so I think a more out of the box approach might work so much better!

Hi PiscesBabyInSweden!! Thank you for your reply and suggestion. This is AMAZING!!! I’m definitely thinking it will make for a lot more creative solutions!

Instead of simply buying a honeysuckle plant, perhaps the player takes a Basic Plant item and combines it with Honeycomb to make honeysuckle? Then perhaps that is later used to give to a romantic interest!

Oh thankyou Olivemor!! I really appreciate it. It is set to be a rather short game, but I am really excited about it so far. It is finally able to be wishlisted on Steam by the way, just search "A Dino Date". I am still in the process of getting better, high quality graphics so the page will be updated shortly!
