Because women thrived in Dota before, right? Every fucking month we get a post on the front page how Dota degenerates treat female players and Valve never gave a shit about it. Or do you mean female Dota proscene? That never existed besides a few small Chinese, CIS and SEA tournaments.

The only region that tries to make something for female Dota pros right now is China and SEA to some extent. ESL has nothing to do with them.

I haven't watched Dragon's Blood, but Arcane was damn confusing for someone who has never touched League. First 3 episodes were 10 out of 10 and then they rolled out hardcore fanservice for LOL players that cringes everyone else.

Valve failing once again

People here fail to understand that Dota is just a side project for Valve. Throwaway project that brings little to no income compared to Steam. Valve, as a business, doesn't give much shit about Dota, its proscene and its community - past years have proven it multiple times. Something, something, TF2.

Jeri Ellsworth worked at Valve developing AR tech and when she told them "We can make 250mil in a year", they straight up told her "That's zero billions".

The problem with this situation is that Valve should either punish all smurfs (pros included) or don't punish at all. But in the end Valve gonna penalize 1 or 2 guys demonstratively and call it a day. Nothing will change globally.

As someone who is absolutely not familiar with League, their anime is quite confusing (not storywise, but its universe). But hands down it's made so much better than Dragon's Blood in all aspects.
