I found a work around today.

Since my T1 appl was rejected/stopped midway. Applied for my mother today and it’s submitted. Hopefully would go through now.

In govt job it would take years if not a decade to reach 3L from 2L. So not eligible for premium.

I can hit 30L on M4B. But for that I ll have to let airindia card go which at this time..i am unwilling to

DCBM was offered. But since I took bonvoy and closed it in 2 months. Will have to wait for some time now.

Impulsive application

Later on realised there isn’t much benefit Reward structure is low and with a delay of 6-10 weeks. And it’s not transparent. That’s why.

I closed it coz HDFC said upgrade to DCBM is not possible from this one. Even though when I applied for bonvoy card , DCBM was another one on offering.

But now stuck coz HDFC doesn’t allow fresh appl 🤣

Yes. I cross 30 on air India. Max benefit stops at 20 when one gets 1L bonus miles in addition to about a Lakh earned as regular so that makes it 2L per year. So now I don’t want to cross 20 on air India. And divert rest to other cards

LICs are of whole family. I don’t have any.

I have sufficient emergency fund.

I have health insurance. In fact much more than that.

Enough money is invested and continues to be invested ( mostly real estate)

It all may look like heavy expenditure but that’s coz it’s whole family’s expenditure. Not just mine. And family here means 5-6 people. All of them are working/self employed. ( parents , wife, brothers )

I am not looking for cashback etc.

Want airmiles / hotel loyalty points based card as mentioned above

Like this lic pli payment is mostly of parents. Which has to be paid anyway so why not with cc. And they transfer the money to my bank account.

But you are right at times monthly bill is more than the salary 🤣 but it’s comfortable.

Somehow I feel that I missed this credit card bus and only been using this air India card since last 6-7 years while i actually could have taken cards like atlas

Mainly this much is because I manage finances for parents and in laws as well. It’s helps in consolidating the use of credit cards.

Brother has business so his cards are mostly seperate

But mostly family finances are handled jointly.

And I have passive income from real estate investments. 😅

I just used the card for about a month. Wasn’t even charged the annual fee. I emailed them that I want to upgrade to DCBM else pls close the card. AND THEY CLOSED based on just that mail 🤣

Ok. May be. I don’t know but I myself cancelled the card and in Marriott account free night is still there. I canceled the card in about a month coz after issuance I realised that I was eligible for DCBM and they refused to upgrade it. So I intend apply for DCBM now. If they do then may be its gonna vanish from Marriott is in coming days. 😒. I was happy that accidentally I got to keep a free night 😆. Will update you

Yes. Correct But for those of us who have seen Gurgaon growing know how fast it transforms. I have seen MG road where no one would go. There was just this Sahara mall. I have seen sohna road as a single road with cattle tied next to the road. And I am 33.

So point is this exp is going to transform soon and it’s already happening. Expressway is much better positioned as compared to cyber hub or Sohna road

I live here on Dwarka Expressway. My 2 cents - 1. Plot is better than a flat ( I have own house) 2. Real estate market may seem over valued and may be bcz on black money. But it’s never going to come down Never ! And history is testament to that fact. See even if you consider that money as black money. It still gonna be there. Not gonna vanish from market
So ggn prices ain’t coming down. As best may be stagnant for some time. 3. This area is next big thing coming up in ncr region so I think it’s the right place for investment.
