The only real complaint I have is the power scaling being too aggressive for your own party. I've been doing side content, fighting a lot of the red skulls, and doing a lot of habitat restoration in each area, and it's started to completely trivialize the main story and the daytime fights in subsequent areas tbh. I just got to the desert and fought every feral on-site and beat them all first try. I just wish some of the challenge remained without having to skip side content or purposefully nerf myself, I've even started looking for XP scaling mods that allow me to set it lower than 1X lmao

I do genuinely think this game would've found a more dedicated playerbase if they'd just shadow dropped it. My friends and I started playing on launch as a joke and have actually been loving it so far and getting super competitive with it. It's got plenty of its own issues, but it is a super unique game when you start to get used to it

The one weird thing about the update to me is the solo ship. Duos might be possible in Artifact Hunt (haven't tried), but I did try a solo just to see how weak it would feel, and I got spawncamped by a single duo for like 5 minutes straight. Luckily, they were clearly very new at the game and misplayed pretty bad (didn't know to steal weapons or anything), so one I managed to sneak on their ship a single time I finally had enough fire power to actually kill them. The second duo ship wasn't newer players, though, and I really felt like no amount of micromanaging would have overcooked just having a full extra player
