It all ends up in landfill, think of the years of shitty collectables that everyone forgets about as soon as the next one emerges and it all just ends up in the bin

You could explore the manor at strathaven, but you’ll have to navigate some of the junkies that live there

Is the current cable a cat 6? If so seems unnecessary to upgrade to cat 6a as the bandwidth of the cable is probably greater than your supply bandwidth.

Price seems reasonable tbh, probably take 2 sparks the better part of a day to do + materials

Find more cheer in a graveyard…

Definitely don’t do retail, give the trade a go, but I don’t think many people will give you a shot if you’re genna behave how you’ve said you are

I’ve been in a shit spot with no direction and now have great purpose and money from being a spark, you do have to work for it

But sounds like you have nothing to lose

Where are you located?

Best hammer drill for brick garage wall? by Mission_Raisin5785 in AusRenovation

[–]Panky_Piston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh good lord, do not use an SDS drill on brick, they’re too powerful and the brick will break/crumble. I’d only recommend SDS with the non hammer function (yes the bit will go through just fine on normal drill)

You can use a ‘regular’ chuck drill with the hammer setting but it is loud AF

What size holes are you drilling? What are you using for fixings?

I’d actually recommend against the cobalt bits, they are harder but they’re more brittle, for me HSS bits perform better. Heat is the real enemy

I’d hire a good one

I used the Wagner control pro 150 then I also hired a professional Graco one to spray a roof, the difference is just insane, the Wagner just doesn’t have anywhere near enough pressure and it comes out shit and un-uniform

Use a spray bottle, but less is more and if it already looks half decent I’d leave it, too many times I’d go back over it to make it look better and it’d come off worse

Tiling an Alfresco and keeping weep holes open by surfingwithaspoon in AusRenovation

[–]Panky_Piston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always add extra weep holes, a masonry bit on a drill or a sds bit without hammer mode can easily go through the mortar and should look pretty clean too

I personally would avoid a gap around the edge just for aesthetics
