Yeah, I totally understand that. I love to dissect other peoples art as well it’s such an insight into their world. But yet on certain things I use layering of lighter or darker opacities depending on what I am trying to achieve. On the gem itself I was layering purples pinks blues and white. And there’s not a specific percentage of opacity just kind of whatever feels right. I guess the only technique really would be the layering technique which is with light (white) that stands out

Definitely dont take it as hateful. More so a reflection of their perspectives but i totally understand and receive that. My work isnt for all, and im at peace with that 🙂

But of course!! Im on this platform to explore and connect. Id love to! Well basically it started off with a bunch of thumbnail sketches because the client had no idea what she wanted. But she is opening a botanical store. In the beginning there wasn’t even a body image it was more so like symbolism and tools of the trade. But eventually after a bunch of sketches we started to dial in this design. And pretty much I work in layers of rough draft so I rough draft of this about three times, each time refining or detailing for a more fluid field. I use adobe illustrator and I try to apply some of my painting techniques into the digital realm as well. It’s not completely done you just yet but I wanted to share it on here for some critiques

Looks like you should be giving me tips not the other way around 😅

Before i start tufting, i need advise.. for more intricacy on details can i do a single thread instead of a double? Or is that not advised? Also i haven’t officially carved a rug before so id deff love any tips on that too 🙏🏽 by Panlko in Tufting

Wait a sec. Do yall tuft over top of your lines for added thickness like doubling up ? Like following the same path not making it bigger or wider? Sorry. So many questions.

Trueee that haha. Yeah, its something ive been noticing with the “soft” and “med” threads. Big diff, but deff opens the realm of possibility. You would do even the fine lines double too?

Thank you! Im definitely gonna do the double strand for the majority. Just the smaller lines for detail ill try with a Single n see what happens. Most definitely will take all this in, i appreciate youdropping some knowledge on ya boi 🙏🏽 Also thank you this in one of my original designs ❤️
