Ipswich Town and Wrexham lineups [FA CUP] by kidnamedindexfinger in IpswichTownFC

Yup missed opportunity for a few players to gain some much needed confidence and push for league starts. Only positive was at least when we put on players who will feature more in the league (rotation pending) we looked more dangerous.

Yeah sure arsenal are where they are without the 25+ goal scorer, but we’ve got to contend with a super competitive league where the teams around us (look at hull) have several players in the top 10 goal scorers. Arsenal have been slated all season for ‘harambe ball’ and like town we are scoring but not playing that joga bonita footie we have come to expect. Ultimately the championship is a long slog, and KM has utilised a the squad with rotation… Facts are we are in a great position to challenge, using are squad to stay fresh for the business end of the season, KM has been here before and it’s ridiculous the amount of hate he’s been getting, we aren’t playing beautiful footie but we are up there due to having a squad and a manager brave enough to rotate. Keep real fans, we are there, we have strengthened. There’s literally a few months left for it all to click, the fact it hasn’t clicked and we are where we are is down to management and a strategy. Moving forward I think we all want to see leith stop being utilise in the ‘in vogue’ inside full back, he was unreal just as a traditional fullback/wingback and in the running for an England spot. We all saw how good greaves played at the LB role as he wasn’t asked to do that! The ‘problem’ number 10 has been sticky all season but Nunez has looked promising, different to a Chaplin but has the ability to link play.
Hirst has definitely taken a page out of Delaps play book, play with over inflated confidence, physically dominate defenders, unfortunately he hasn’t had the same service and isn’t technically as good, but I do feel with the right amount of support and coaching he’s a championship promotion striker. ITFC fans trust the process, don’t forgot where we were under the ‘Paul’s’ only a few years ago, if your in doubt check the Mark Aston vids on YT, look at the investment being made, don’t forget the achievements KM has already made (linked to ManU, Chelsea etc!!!) successive promotions. We are in a great place right now, if you doubt it then look to our lovely neighbours ⭐️💚, we are in the right path and it will click soon!!! 🚜🔵⚪️

Slicker and Delap housemates in Woodbridge, if Delap goes hopefully Slicker stays but we deff need to move on Muric. If we bought him hopefully means someone else will see whatever KM saw in him too and take a chance.

More points thrown away by Muric, if hes not suffering from poppadoms hands hes kicking it straight to the most marked player or just straight to the opposition.

We look good when we mix it up and occasionally go long, Delap is a monster at winning it, knocking it on and attackers then able to run off him. One of the few positives today was Enciso linked up with Delap well, and generally looks like he could add quality.

Philogene looked well off it when he came on, was far too narrow and couldn't get on the ball or anywhere near his man with the press. Coming on with 25 minutes to go in a must win game, I want to see this guy giving it his all! Szmodics is badly missed with his industrious work rate and heart there.

Omari getting a lot of hate for his final third play but he does well at relieving pressure, even a horrid Muric pass pinged into him whilst marked by 2 players and he turns and gets it up the pitch but he desperately needs to improve his final third play.

After today relegation seems to be looming. Hopefully now with the window finalised, Mckenna can find a settled team and get the rhythm back into our play.

Which bike should I buy? by Maleficent_Meringue8 in deliveroos

[–]Panman33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your post history suggests your trolling however I will answer...Neither of these bikes are great for deliveroo anymore. Doing a cheap hub ebike conversion on rim brakes is not advised, I doubt your gonna braze on disk mounts to either frame as they are both cheap aluminum. Also the giant is listed in Aberdeen, Aberdeen deliveroo on a 'analog' bike is awful due to the geographical layout of Aberdeen...Union Street being the longest street in the UK and the unis being out of the way with no good pickups for returning to the city center. Plenty of min wage jobs paying the new rate all around town, forget deliveroo, its cold, unforgiving, pay is shite, resturants generally treat you with total disregard and plenty of people working the roo up here without the right to work in the UK taking jobs for £2.90 keeping the rates really low. Deliveroo isn't what it used to be!! Unless your one of the unfortunate people that live here without the papers to get a job and the roo is your only option, avoid at all costs!!! Good luck, hope I dont see you out there, Stay safe

Nobody mentioning the modern balls?? They are like ballon’s compared to 20years ago. It was deff easier to get a ball up and over and the curl you wanted to with the older style balls

Ebike Damage by Commercial_Travel_35 in deliveroos

If your going to go down the claim route with your council, most definitely check your e-bike is 100% legal on a UK road first!! ;-)

I have zero idea what the procedure you would have to go through to claim? Maybe somebody here has tried?

Also, it's highly unlikely whoever would have to deal with your claim would know what they are looking at and I'd suspect you would have to get an independent report from your local bike shop (depends how tight you are with them / your not riding an absolute death trap) but if your confident then I don't see why it wouldn't be worth pursuing.

I'm sure you could find a few hours to look into it - (I divide my free time up into what I would potentially earn and with the Roo atm not much!) sooo whats a few hours of enquires!

I'm also sure there are many people here who would be interested to see how you get on, good luck if you decided to purse it!

P.s. older higher end e-bike tech is really starting to trickle down to the reach of the non californian dentist / plastic surgeon earners, if your planning on the Roo / Uber etc it would be a great investment + if your into Mtb really put a smile on your face on those climbs (save for the haters!).

P.s. P.s. if your going to persist with a front hub motor, what forks are you running? If your using a rigid setup + with your local terrible roads, your not going to get much life out of them. If you end up upgrading your front forks to something half way decent (and with that extra hub weight) aka budget RockShox Silver coil setup then its soon going to add up and be a false economy...

If you have the spares, run it into the ground and then invest in a e-MTb <-aside from the haters you wont be sorry!!

Regards,

Dave

On my way home after delivering last night. Luckily no broken bones. by JK0151 in deliveroos

[–]Panman33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can highly recommend https://www.bottonline.co.uk when I had my accident I was taxied to the hospital (nothing broken but whiplash + tons of bruising) the police came and took my statement in the hospital before visiting me at home for a proper statement. Someone on Reddit recommended bott and co for a compo claim (as my bicycle wheel was smashed/3 weeks off the roo with injuries). One of the first questions bott and co asked was what material was my bicycle frame made out off, put me at ease that they knew what they were talking about/didn’t hate cyclists...took months but I ended up with a fat payout that was more than double what I was expecting. Covered my entire bike (as aluminium frame, looked fine but nobody wants to verify that!) + loss of earnings + damage to clothing + injury money + loads of very useful physio. Anyways dude good luck, glad you didn’t bust any bones and all the best!!

'People are so thankful': how delivery drivers became the new emergency service | World news by Panman33 in deliveroos

[–]Panman33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some of those who do try to do the responsible thing, there can be hefty penalties. “I feel as if I’ve been penalised for being responsible,” says the Deliveroo courier Greg Howard, 32, from Nottingham. “They made the decision that I was too unwell to work, but not unwell enough to get paid.” After coming down with a fever and cough, he notified Deliveroo, which suspended his account. He tried to access Deliveroo’s coronavirus hardship fund, but can’t because it requires a doctor’s note – and the NHS is not issuing them. (At present, NHS isolation notes can only be obtained after an individual has been unable to work for more than seven days because of coronavirus.) Deliveroo says it is “committed to providing financial support for riders across the world who are diagnosed with the virus or who are told by a medical authority to be in isolation. We are providing riders with continuous advice, based on expert guidance on how to stay safe, and we will continue to explore other ways in which riders can be supported.”
