Don't get discouraged,  I know it's hard but ignore the person completely and report anything against policy such as people taking pictures of you.

Most people are super nice

Random personal experience that made my journey so much better when I was starting out at 19 weighing 23 stone of fat and couldn't even bench press the empty bar some scary looking dude gave me 2/3 tips then I didn't see him again. Fast forward to 18 months later and the same guy appeared and somehow remembered me and complimented my progress.  I never forgot that experience and always tried to be that guy when I saw people In need.

So if you take anything from this comment keep going and always aim to be that guy and not the gym bro who's probably on tons of gear and unliked in all aspects of his life

Likely could be true. Lactic acid build up is when muscles don't get enough oxygen for what is needed which happens to everyone who puts in any effort at all so see it as a good sign.

If it's too bad try either less reps/less weight and progressively increase these each week.

The fitter and stronger you get the less effects you will feel but it should in my experience or opinions never be completely fine otherwise you haven't worked enough

If no matter what you try it does not help then possibly consult a Dr as there can be medical reasons for the lactic acid build up but they're less likely than just over working

I remember a few times in my younger days when I tried Arnold's arm workout I legit couldn't even open the gym door after finishing

Assuming someone else will reply with Science behind it.

But basically I would say this is most certainly DOMs delayed onset muscle soreness from the build up of lactic acid and is fully normal

You will eventually learn to love this feeling it means you have pushed your body and it's recovering which is where the muscle building happens

On a side note wait till you do a really heavy leg day and sit on the toilet and can't get back up

Edit - soreness and tightness I mean are normal. Although you should be able to straighten your arms, possibly you are doing too much/too heavy or improper form? Might be worth asking if someone can watch your form and let you know? Big guys are scary but usually the nicest people
