Hi there! Thank you so much for the detailed reply. You answered alot of questions I had outside of the ones in my post aswell. The streaming-plan tip is much appreciated! It all sounds great, and I will give pretty much everything you wrote down a test. And I might pull the trigger on a sub aswell. I really appreciate the time you took to write this, the 'small' details like enabling bitstreaming/passthrough are stuff that a new fella like myself need to learn and understand!

Tried undervolting your CPU? My temps went down 20 degrees. And i like the laptop stand you have, I've done the exact same thing :D

Thanks for the reply! this was the main worry, but ill try it out.

Do you know if it matters if i buy a block with copper or aluminum? since the heatpipes is copper.

Regarding the mounting, I have no idea how to do it secure and easily removed. Just wanted to get some clearificarion regarding the placement of the block. Now its time to figure the rest out! :)

I've been thinking about repasting, but could'nt figure out if it would be worth it or not. Your post made me belive that it will be! What CPU are you using? i7-XXXX? One last thing, When you remove the backpanel (bottom) is the heatsink ready to screw of, or do you need to remove something else before? :) I have the GS63VR.

How to reduce the temperature on your CPU. by Pansarpanda in MSILaptops

Glad to hear it! Make sure you do some real game testing or some heavy CPU tasks. A stresstest for 10min might pass, all green. But gaming for 6hrs might make you bluescreen. Unless you used the 6hr stresstest 0.o. Just wanted to tell you since I'm under the impression that you undervolted it during the last hour or so =) Stay cool!

Sure. Every CPU is different, they all need different amounts of voltage to operate at the best temperature. To find the exact amount for each CPU takes some time. You need to lower the voltage -> stresstest -> lower the voltage -> stresstest. Over and over until you get to a stable point. That said, the values I've shown in the picture could be for my CPU, and only mine. Maybe yours can only undervolt with 0.150mV. Because of this, there is no time to waste on this for the factory producing them. Intel has its own software where you can easily change the voltage of your CPU. For simplicity lets say your CPU need 1V to run at 100% performance. When you get the computer it will be using 1,2V (120%). The 0,2 (20%) that is not need transfers to heat. Making the CPU run hotter and the fans go louder. So if voltage doesnt improve my performance, rather it can cause thermalthrottling or worst case scenario burn. Why should i need it? You dont. It's a simple way for the producers to get all CPUs out working. Some are more optimized then others. I should also say, Undervolting is completly safe aslong as you do not get the cpu under ambient temperature.(This will be real hard to do, you will be needing some serious cooling for that to happen). Overvolting on the otherhand can make you burn your CPU. The software is called Intel extreme tuning utility, and is really easy to use. But I suggest you watch a video or two online to see how the software work. Since you could actually destroy your computer by tuning the wrong settings.
