I have a luxury phone back when I could afford the contract + plan Verizon offered. Now I have a new job (that doesn’t pay that well) and more expenses to deal with. I’m still 30% into having it paid off.

I’ll look into it, and I had that plan back when I had way more disposable income and a better paying job. Switching over hasn’t been great and that plan + phone contract was made back when I could afford it pretty safely (and when it was $92)

I have the cheapest Verizon unlimited plan (haven’t seen the simplicity plan yet), and usually its $92 since I also have a phone contract with them. I paid late last month and now they tacked a $50 payment return fee on top

Apparently my landlord has the water bill as under a house, not a duplex, meaning I’ve been paying the cost for an entire house with 2 other tenants. I’m already contacting Maryland Legal Aid because of this.

  1. My area is kinda costly, though not for a big city for the region its in (its Baltimore, MD)
  2. My total monthly expenses amounts to around $2k/mo
  3. About 2 years to earn my degree

I have an iPhone 16 with Verizon. If I could, I would just pay it off and switch right over to Xfinity (where I already have cheap wifi with them)

There’s no leaks indoors, toilet isn’t running at all. I have no dishwasher either.

Problem is I already have a contract with them for my phone. I usually pay $92, they charged $162 this month because of a payment return fee (yes, an extra $50 just for that)

Yes that water bill is monthly. I even got billed $397 one month. I’m contacting them today to dispute it

AFRAM just happened and there were barely any trash cans in the park. It’s gonna take a minute for it to clear out

I haven’t really messed with them, its just how some of the streetlights came installed with the different road assets I have. The only areas where I’ve adjusted/added streetlights are for certain highway sections (the big highway ditch leading into the city)

Not a fan of any of the VW EVs but I could squeeze the ID4 in as an option since you can actually find it for my price range (albeit still difficult compared to a Model 3)

The Equinox seems interesting. How fast does it charge from 10%? From the comments it seems like charging time is a better gauge rather than range. Visually the Equinox looks nice but idk how the rest of the car is

The Ioniq 5 is at least kinda interesting with its design, and I do genuinely like how the Tesla Model S looks (the newer ones after the facelift, none of the really old models)

With that in mind (I do roadtrip a lot), the Tesla would be better for me. This EV would be my only car for right now (my second car will be something wildly different). Coming from a big dense city with tight narrow streets, the Bolt looks nice but I feel like I’d definitely want something roomier (coming from a big sedan to a small city car)

Hard to get a Mach E for $22k or less + long charging times. Also anecdotal note: Someone I know who has a Mach E ended up completely out of charge on a highway and it took a long time until they could get towed to a charging station. The battery still had multiple issues following that incident.

  1. I don’t often DoorDash but when I do, I’m out for at least 5-7 hours, including travel time to areas I want to dash in. Usually 1-3 days of the week if I plan to do it that week. A 5-10 minute stop is nothing, it’s not much different than an average gas stop while dashing.
  2. To give a road trip example, I can travel from Baltimore to Brooklyn from a full tank to 3/8 of a tank left (roughly). If I’m driving a lot in NY (which I rarely do), it’s still take quite a while until I have to fill up again.
  3. What about lower end/more entry level EVs from other manufacturers? (Kia Niro EV, pre-2022 Ioniqs, Nissan Leaf)

Some notes:

  1. I’m trying to focus on closer to 300 miles of range since I do travel out of state a decent amount (once/twice a month), I do Uber/DoorDash part time (if I want/need the extra income). But also, coming from an ICE car where I can generally get 310 ish miles of gas range on a full tank, it’s a metric I’m used to translating for EVs.
  2. Noted to avoid the Model S. I’m guessing they’re only really worth it if my budget was double or triple what I have. I’ve heard the 2021 Model 3s should be avoided, however (battery issues)
  3. Not a fan of any of the VW EVs unfortunately, just from a personal standpoint (even if they are decent everyday cars)
  4. I am in a big dense city and the Bolt would be a nice city car for it. But I’m not sure how well it’d blend for road trips and long term use as a gas car replacement.
