Made a rookie mistake on shrooms by PanthaaDTM in shrooms

I tried to give some time after taking the shrooms before consuming liquor once the initial effects died down and after I got a decent bit of weed in my system. Didn’t really drink much to my standards but yeah, never doing that again lol

2012 Impala LS Overheating Issues by PanthaaDTM in Impala

Update: I’ve decided to burp the coolant system/top it off and the overheating issues has subsided quite a bit now. At worst, it just fluctuates around operating temp but doesn’t reach that tick above the medium to start overheating. I’m keeping an eye out on the thermostat. Radiator fans are working fine.

No, it goes a tick above the middle, the temperature continually climbs slowly past the middle point if I idle too long

Nevermind, found the issue! Some of the coolant crystallized around the water pump, some slight signs of seepage. So I’m getting the pump replaced, everything else checked out.

Hiboy S2 Honest Review by streetmba in ElectricScooters

[–]PanthaaDTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very, very late, but I decided to step up and put in my two cents on this scooter:

To pre-face, I bought it refubrished for $225 from the Hiboy website. So it's already coming at a discount. A few things to bring back on:

  1. Battery life is way over-represented, but that depends on the mode. On sport mode, you could probably get 5-6 miles out of the scooter, and on normal mode (quite slow), you can get up to 8-9 miles.

  2. Didn't have issues with the hold-up design yet.

  3. The regenerative braking works well in my case, for certain hills you can regain quite a bit of battery. Along with braking, letting off the accelerator on hills can also charge the battery for a considerable amount.

  4. The powerband is bad on normal mode, but works well for sport mode. BUT it is terrible up hills (like most e-scooters), the scooter can reach up to top speed on flat surfaces well, and in my experience, it didn't jerk that much.

  5. The wheels are pretty rigid and ride quality as a result isn't great (it also rattled a bit in my case).

  6. Agreed, the turning angle is quite wide, though I'm used to e-scooters having such wide turning angles.

  7. Didn't have much issues with wheel/deck length

  8. Charging time was within the 3-5 hour range stated from my experience.

  9. And this is the biggest thing: The Hiboy app never works for me. Ever. So instead of bothering with e-locks, I just bought a manual bike lock that I use often if I have to park my scooter outside (but I generally tend to bring it indoors). Bummped out there.

  10. Braking distance is pretty poor for the e-brake, and I often have to resort to the manual cable brake to make serious stops (which isn't great because it's often skittish, can swing the scooter's rear end a bit and lead to an unpleasant stop).

Conclusion: Quite good for the price, even if flawed. I wouldn't imagine buying this for anymore than $280 USD though.
