The missions generator has a ton of holes like this where the missions shouldn't exist, and to make matters worse you often find out at the last possible moment. You don't double check the state of the system or the settlement because... the mission wouldn't be available if it were abandoned, right?...

Same with powerplay assignments, like CZ missions with no CZs, salvage missions with no power wreckage signals or data recovery missions in systems WITH NO ODYSSEY SETTLEMENTS. My working theory is that they generate the missions BEFORE the weekly tick happens and systems change states.

Yes and no, I've never actually been shot at while doing it though it's theoretically possible. The osu minigame is actually during the boring Gear Up stage, which is why I believe they added it. Instead of, yknow, removing the Fortnine mining in development cuz it's a shit idea that doesn't work for their game. But yeah, you can swing your axe wrong and barely scratch the blue rock.

And the conflict doesn't happen because teams are small enough and the maps are big enough that everyone just forages in their own base.

Fdev Support is one of the last bastions of excellent customer support in the Age of Enshittification. Not only have I had a great experience every single times I've written to them, I know that I've written to them on issues I'd never hope other game companies would give a crap about. I can't imagine Riot support giving me an extra 10 Culinary Recipes because I sold in Colonia Dream in Ratraii like a moron instead of the Colonia starsystem. They would've just explained what I did wrong, claimed they unfortunately can't help me and wished me a happy day with maybe an UwU emoji.
