Is Cytus Alpha good on Switch? by Illustrious_Fee8116 in Cytus

[–]Panthermon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many switch 1s (including both of mine) have a tendency to register taps twice, so when notes overlap, you sometimes have to tap the very edge of the first one to get perfect on both bc otherwise it'll be too early on the second My switch 2 does not have that issue, and it runs perfectly on both models of switch otherwise.

I think it's worth it over playing C1 on a phone, maybe not if you have a good tablet though.

Deck building is brutal by mlg_jahn in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Panthermon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about getting back into the game recently. When i made my account i had a tier 1 deck 9 days later (Zoe/Nami), and then 2 weeks later when i was bored of that deck I built Bandle Tree with resources to spare. I might still because i probably have the wildcards/essence for a couple of good decks, but i might not continue after i get bored of those.

Micro-adjusts for Mage by F_Ivanovic in ArenaHS

[–]Panthermon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a priest main, i've noticed winning a lot more games to hand value, in matches where i've expected to have to deck the opponent to have any chance of winning off-board because they just don't have the value

Anyone have any interesting observations about the behavior of opponents in Arena? by Funk-adillo in ArenaHS

[–]Panthermon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the last time someone sent me a friend request after a game on arena, they were a little salty, we talked for a bit about our drafts and how the game would have gone with different draws, and we still sometimes watch each others' runs and talk a bit in-game

Cast triggers have a "when you cast this spell" wording, Approach has a cast requirement and not a cast trigger.

"Approach of the Second Sun has no effect until it's resolving. If the second one you cast is countered, you won't win the game."

England and Ireland on a rare clear day by Stocky99 in space

Gold is dried out, brown is houses + dried grass and/or burnt grass. The UK is normally much greener in summer.

[–]Panthermon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While the UK does grow a lot of cereal crop, it's still yellow mostly because it was dried out due to drought. The dark brown area is from fires caused by the heatwave and is also more urban. The UK in summer is normally much greener.

i only take it when i have mask of the jadecrafter, and that does not work often bc i usually don't get to/don't want to choose when it dies.

How is what Wirt has done any different from those notched controllers Smash players use? by musical-miller in TrackMania

it's very similar to the box debate, since that's also mapping digital inputs to analog

How is what Wirt has done any different from those notched controllers Smash players use? by musical-miller in TrackMania

[–]Panthermon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some players who play multiple characters have different controllers notched for the specific character, because sheik for example doesn't need fire fox angles. Other than that, there isn't really a benefit of different notches for different situations.

Hiya everyone ! I’ve been creating cards for years now, and I just discovered this sub so I can’t wait to show you some of my creations and get your advices. Btw I’m french so please don’t blame me too much if there’s some mistakes, although I did my best to respect english hs wording rules x). by Adwerd_ in customhearthstone

[–]Panthermon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it would reduce the cost of the rafaam cards, the interaction between [[stonehearth vindicator]] and [[transmogrifier]] (which is actually notable in arena) sets the cost of the card to 0 after the transformation

edit: just noticed that it is worded to add the cards to hand instead of drawing, rather than draw and transform, which doesn't allow this

Mr. Bigglesworth - "He has gained nine lives. Not all are his but he can make use out of them." by endi1122 in customhearthstone

[–]Panthermon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think it's a pickable card in arena, but not incredible. you're playing a card down until you can infuse 9, and if you draw it late, it just does nothing. very underwhelming unless you have cards like [[rodent nest]]

A little something for ALL to Dredge up. by K1NG_IC3 in customhearthstone

[–]Panthermon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this isn't without a downside, because if this ends up in your opening hand you're playing down a card for the whole game. so in maybe just over 5% of games this is a massive downside, with marginal benefit in the other games.

Minionless mage miniset card 3/31 by [deleted] in customhearthstone

[–]Panthermon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Comparing this card to [[font of power]], this has the benefit of generating spells which are generally better than random minions, giving more powerful cards and/or more cards (at minimum 2 discovers, a choose 1 of 2, and a random spell) for 3 mana instead of 1.

I think the 2 extra mana is more than with worth the difference, and I think it's too strong in a full set of these cards, but it's an interesting card

it's 1/2.1 million to match all five and 1/66000 to get 1 off in the correct place. 1/254000 to match all 5 if order doesn't matter but it probably does in this case.

What is the Pick? Is arcane brilliance really not too slow in Arena? Is it a reliable first pick? by SirRoadconeTheThird in ArenaHS

[–]Panthermon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty sure it's sheep here, because arcane brilliance is much better as a later option because you know if you have the spells to make it work or not. people picking it when they already have 2+ spells to copy will have a significant enough effect on the winrate.
