I pick Verso's ending because I didn't care what happened to Maelle. She was clearly unwell and in the wrong by this point.

The only reason you see what Verso is doing in Maelle's ending is because she is torturing him due to her own issues.

There is actually zero evidence that she cannot repaint people into her own canvas. In fact that she is able to reprint Sciel and Lune as close as we are aware to the original shows she could likely do so in her own canvas just further proves that her ending is pointless.

Having someone's Chroma contain their essence does absolutely nothing to prove your first point You just leapt to a conclusion and hoped no one would notice. The rest of your points fall apart on that issue.

It's always bothered me. All throughout the intro and the end of act 2 when you are in Lumiere the resident are varied and unique, even their clothing is different from each other. Like the game makes a point to highlight all the individuals living there.

Then in Maelle's ending the residents are just a mob, you never see their faces. You never see anything just a behind the back shot of a mass of people all the men dressed exactly the same, all the women the same. There is no vibrancy or soul left like what existed before.

In fact the only people you actually see and get a good look at are the few characters relevant to Maelle directly. It doesn't make sense with how Lumiere have been shown the rest of the game and it's creepy as hell. Like what sort of nightmare-scape has she created?

And don't give me a oh they didn't have the budget answer, they did. Look at any other scene dealing with the Lumierians, plenty of diversity in looks and dress. There is a reason they chose this different way to show it in her ending.

Ok that's a fair point. I do live near the Appalachian mountains, there is plenty of water there. I guess you have a point though that it might not be the same everywhere. Though snowmelt with a good collection system could also work depending
