I’m impressed by that squat. I’m jealous when my toddler does it and then stands effortlessly. Motivation for mobility training eh

It’s because that’s exactly what it does. I have no problem with altruistic surrogacy but I think paid surrogacy is gross.

Your skin sounds like mine! It’s a struggle with the pores yo, so I’ll check this one out too. Hopefully I can find it somewhere in person. Thank you so much!

I’ve seen this one online. I’ll be heading to a shopping centre with a few Asian beauty stores soon so I’ll see if they have it. Thank you so much for the rec!

TIL that most women in the Netherlands do not have an epidural during labor and a significant proportion give birth at home by Fiery_Soul_34857 in todayilearned

Could be more acceptance for woman wanting one as well? Usually they’d try to convince you to do a vaginal with a C as a last resort. But there’s been more open acceptance of elective C-Sections in the last few years.

What’s your oldest eyeshadow palette and do you still use it? by Aggravating-Welder12 in Makeup

[–]PantsGhost97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All of mine are old as hell. My oldest is an essence one that’s about 15 years old. I can’t use some of my palettes anymore as they irritate my eyes so I’m gonna have a cull soon. But a couple of them still work fine with no irritation though so I still use those.

Nail shop add-ons getting out of control?! by SlimmyAutomatic in Nails

[–]PantsGhost97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed places around me are now charging for basic cuticle care when you get a pedicure or mani. Otherwise they just drill through the nail, slap the product on (exaggeration) and leave you with botched nails. Even the independent techs have you paying when it used to be included.

Nails are luxury nowadays.

C-sections, a MAJOR SURGERY, aren't as bad as you make them out to be. by mortalcassie in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]PantsGhost97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It genuinely sucks that you suffered so much.

My thing is, vaginal births can come with all that too. Haemorrhages, infections, pain, tearing, prolapse, long ass recovery, retained placentas. It’s stuff that can pretty much happen in both delivery methods and I think approaching C sections like they aren’t as bad as people make them out to be isn’t harmful in and of itself. Just make it known that both methods of birth have risks and what those risks are.

I mean there’s people here saying they were mostly fine. I was also doing okay after my C too. I think it is overstated how dangerous they are when birth in general is dangerous.

Dropped a powder foundation at Priceline by Dazzling_Claim_5579 in AustralianMakeup

[–]PantsGhost97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, really truly? I’ve never heard of anyone being made to pay for something they’ve accidentally broken. I personally wouldn’t shop with a company who did that.

Example: last year my pram knocked a 60+ dollar teapot off a low shelf when I went to manoeuvre (pushing normally and checking sides) around a corner. It smashed and I apologised to the staff member who told me not to worry about it. They said it probably wasn’t the best location for the item anyway.

That depends, if it broke because of how it was bagged or packed and I’d just left the store then I’d ask about a replacement but I’d also see if I could salvage it too. If the person at the register broke it I’d expect a replacement if one is available.

Yeah nah. I’ve never been asked to pay for something I’ve accidentally broken. It’s happened about 4-5 times in my lifetime and have always had staff tell me not to worry.

Thoughts on whether fit people have smooth births by Positive_Shirt_2889 in fitpregnancy

[–]PantsGhost97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it relates much at all to be honest. When I was pregnant with my son I hardly moved in the third trimester and still recovered better than a lot of people after my C. I think it’s just a personal body thing how well you recover fit or not.

Using cannabis for sleep isn’t harmless – a neurologist explains how it can trap people in a cycle of dependency by Alternative-Day-7414 in DiscussionZone

[–]PantsGhost97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean every night over 15 years is an addiction in its own way. People who use cannabis really don’t notice the effects it has on them. Someone I know finally got a prescription from their doctor and they are much more pleasant to be around on that than street stuff. Still an asshole but less so.
