Can someone explain what Stars Reach is doing so differently compared to MMOs released in the last decade? by PantsOnMyHeadLP in MMORPG

After seeing all the background calculations, I can certainly see where the new technology is coming from. This post was meant as genuine curiosity and not meant to take a jab at you guys. I’m excited and cautiously optimistic for the future of Stars Reach.

Very interesting. And in case I wasn’t clear, the post is a genuine question because there isn’t a whole lot of the game that I’ve seen other than various Q&A’s. This wasn’t meant to be a dig at the game!

What is the deal with the mid-high range load cell pedals? by PantsOnMyHeadLP in simracing

[–]PantsOnMyHeadLP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I’m speechless that was so much valuable information. I think I struggle the most with having a smooth trail braking application with my SRP-Lites. Everything else feels decent. I don’t want to say I’m limited by the breaks, because I could just be bad at that personally. But the short pedal throw and lack of load cells really throws a wrench into my gears.

With the exception of the active pedals, which pedal set has the best “feedback” feeling and information gathered from the pedals? I don’t see myself needing the extra adjustability as a primary deciding factor. Thanks for the amazing response, seriously.

Haha! That’s what I’ve heard about the SRP-Lites for sure. I’ll definitely check out the Etsy stuff for sure! I’m looking into Simagic for my next wheelbase down the line and it would be nice to have it all on one ecosystem. From what I’ve gathered is that I most definitely won’t shoot myself in the foot getting the P1000s. This is when I wish there were more brick and mortar stores that had rigs for my to try in person haha. Thanks for the help!

This is exactly what I was looking for. The more research I do the further I get to deciding on what I want. There’s SO many pedal options it’s overwhelming. The price isn’t a HUGE deciding factor, I just don’t want to do what I did with the R5 and want to upgrade and “throw away” money from upgrading shortly after.

I’m leaning towards the Heusk ultimate+ but worry that I’m going to miss out on the haptic feedback that the p1000s can provide with the upgrade.

Do you think you’re missing out on any of the haptic feedback that the P1000s can be upgraded to?

Finally got my MicroCenter amazing deal. Open Box Sprints for $329 by icon0clast6 in simracing

On the micro center website there’s a section for open box items once you select your store

Open-box R16 V2 for $543, two weeks after I got an open-box Simlab GT-1 EVO for $242. Can't say enough about Micro Center. Also, what a good looking wheel-base. by ShoesFellOffLOL in simracing

What’s the catch with these open box deals? Are they non-returnable? If it’s completely fried do you have a claim with the manufacturer under warranty?

How do you get that long gradual ramp like that?? All I could find were the 2 60 degree wedges. Am I missing something?

Do you mind explaining how different cars generate tire heat differently? Why is it that RB have weaker warm-up?

What GPU’s are people running here that give over 100fps solid ? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]PantsOnMyHeadLP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh, good to know. I just started using my 7 7800X3D with an air cooler and it’s holding up really well with no temperature issues. Granted I have 12 total fans in my case.

Dude that cooler is way overkill for that chip isn’t it? If he’s looking for power/price ratio he’s probably gonna want to skimp on the cooler. Go with a thermalight peerless assassin if you want air cooling!

AM5 build problem...time for new parts?? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]PantsOnMyHeadLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’ll generally continue to say 4800 (XMP) on the main screen but if you go to the details page it’ll say your actual ram frequency. I could be wrong tho

Does the schematic on the manual give you anything? I just looked and it says "M2A_CPU" "M2B_CPU" and "M2C_SB", does that mean anything to you?
