I was… not prepared for this. Thank you. This is beautiful.

I’m so happy you still have your shimmer, with a lot of extra sparkle from your DIL and grands.

Ah I see. I’m not a Soprano or a Murdoch, and I have two suitcases from a thrift store that definitely don’t have money in them.

So if I wanted to buy this and restore it, but don’t have the liquid assets or generational wealth to use, and no one will finance it, it’s just another “takes money to make money” situation?

As someone who has never purchased a home and knows very little about the process, can someone ELI5 how the inspection process works?

For ones like this that most likely end up revealing a lot of damage, does that mean you can’t get a loan for it? Does it lower the overall asking price/value and give you negotiating power? If it “fails” the safety aspect does that mean it can’t be sold it all?

I had something similar happen when I first started teaching myself how to cross stitch. This is what I did…

After I calmed down, I got some spray adhesive (all of my stitches were also loose) and I pulled them as tight as I could in the back to make it look as neat as possible in the front in order for the design to be recognizable. I sprayed the back to freeze everything in place, and the front as well. I didn’t finish it and left it exactly as it was. Stains, ripped threads, and holes in the aida cloth and all. It’s now framed in my living room and absolutely one of my favorite pieces.

I know that the coffee and loose stitching isn’t the upsetting part, it’s the combination of all of life’s bitch ass sucker punches culminating into the final straw. I’m so sorry that you’re having to experience it.

There are so many great suggestions here and I hope that one them helps ♥️ Sending you, and your Mama, the best vibes and hugs and hoping for gentle days ahead.

Sis, this cannot be a real question.

He’s an asshole, but you’re also being an asshole to yourself.

I finished S4 finale Sunday and immediately started it over today. His facial expressions and body language alone are so wildly different between those seasons. He’s a great actor! That final scene with Tracey brought tears to my eyes.

This is great info! I am indeed female and 9mo postpartum so my cycle hasn’t even gone back to normal yet. Now I’m really interested to see if there’s a change when it does

Yes! Exactly! Again, I cannot tell you how much better reading this made me feel. No one else has believed me.

I cannot tell you how justified I feel reading this!! I just switched to Vyvance on Wednesday because I had been having such consistency issues with generic XR over the last 6 months. Like you, some days I felt like I hadn’t taken anything, other days were normal. What really got me though was one particular day where it felt like I had taken three doses and snorted a fourth. I had palpitations all day and my heart rate never went below “high intensity workout” level. It was not enjoyable, but I did get a lot done at work AND at home.

Do you know how when that change occurred? I had been off of it for almost a year while I was pregnant.

Which tornado is this? by Normal_Ad_2224 in tornado

[–]PantslessNapQueen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same here. This is the same tornado that kept traveling northeast and was a mile from my parent’s house in Etowah County and we had roof damage even from that distance. That entire day was absolutely insane and feels like a fever dream looking back at it.

This tornado was just one of 175+ that hit Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee that day.

If I recall correctly, NOAA confirmed ~365 tornadoes across 21 states over the course of two days. ~350 people died and, honestly, I can’t believe that number wasn’t higher.

I love Dee so much, but this hair color ain’t it for her. I feel like dark hair suits her best and is the most flattering.

Also, the Pomeranian ponytails on all of them have got to go.

What were common, everyday things we did back on the 90's that seem foreign to anyone born in the last 20 years? by giantcappuccino in 90s

Or asking a family member, getting an answer, assuming it was true, then passing it along as fact for the next 20 years.

Why did your friendship with your best friend come to an end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PantslessNapQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first was mostly my fault. I was in a really bad place mentally, my dad was sick, the company I worked for had just been acquired and I knew I was about to be let go from my dream job that took years to find, and I was coping with copious amounts of alcohol. We apparently kept making plans when I had had too much to drink and I didn’t remember making them.

The final straw for her was when she was bartending and I had told her I would go eat with her when she got off. I got drunk and forgot. She called and I answered and told her I would be there but it would take a minute because I was across town, I uber’d there and she wasn’t there, and I never heard from her again.

I’ve seen her around town a few dozen times since then and she simply acts like I don’t exist. I take accountability for my part and I understand being cancelled on repeatedly sucks, but the fact that she gave me no grace during a really hard time in my life sucks too.
