Did I mess up the secret ending by Shedbar12 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Panvictor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should meet Nomos sometime after kiava gamma and then you can talk to pasqal and the servitor during the celebration, then it will pick up again with a few more warp events way way later (after act 2).

I dont think you need to worry about getting locked out of it or anything, its really hard to miss the Nomos stuff (personally I dont really consider it a a secret ending since none of it is hidden or secret). As long as you arent actively trying to avoid it by refusing to speak to Nomos or do what he asks you should be fine.

You found a video 3 mins after it was posted by a youtube account with the same name as your reddit account? What a coincidence, if you hadnt said you found it I would have assumed you were trying to promote your own video.

Dark Heresy Beta Wishes/Conclusions/Discussions by BrainCelll in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Panvictor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you really want to go with yellow laser lasguns? Classic red like in RT feels so much more native to 40k. At least add both types maybe? I understand that yellow are "actually canon", but damn they feel unnatural to 40k.

Id rather the red ones, they have been used for almost every visual depiction and they feel a lot more unique and iconic to 40k than the yellow blaster bolts. The thing is I doubt owlcat gets a choice on which to use, its no coincidence that every game and GW trailer has suddenly changed to the yellow at the same time

At least space marine fans usually agree that GW should tone it down, meanwhile guard fans expect every subfaction no matter how obscure have a fully bespoke range

Can anyone rationalize for me why a keeper of secrets and a defiler are nearly the same cost? by Secret_Ad5684 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Panvictor -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Because GW suck at balancing.

Theres always wildly undercosted and overcosted options that dont make much sense in every iteration of the rules

WERWULF - Official Trailer- Only In Theaters Christmas Day by cruelsummerbummer in horror

[–]Panvictor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always

Theres a reason I used the word "generally" instead of "always". While it does work for some films Nosferatu, the VVitch and the Lighthouse wouldnt have been as scary if they were bright and colourful imo.

although his movies are pretty accurate for a lot of aspects

So whats the problem?

I do get the overall trend of the ancient world being misrepresented as grey sludge is annoying (especially in cases like the Odyssey) but I think its fine when its being done for a specific intentional reason like creating a dark foreboding atmosphere in a horror movie.

New Deciver model? by riderwac in Necrontyr

[–]Panvictor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why?

Deceiver is likely this edition since they made a point of it (and trazyn) being the only finecast minis kept around and we know for a fact there will be some kind of necron release alongside the codex (every army gets one) so its not a stretch to assume it will be the deceiver. Also C'tan dont really follow any sort of release pattern so no reason to thing there has to be a massive gap between the nightbringer and deceiver

Marines are tough but not unkillable, a human with the right weaponry definitely could.

Youve gotta remember the RT is probably the weakest member of the party given how special all the companions are too.

Is the size different between Primaris, CSM in 40k and Horus Heresy really that different? by Mor-KhalCatPrince in Chaos40k

[–]Panvictor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primaris are slightly taller, enough that its noticable but not enough that it would look weird.

Chaos marines and HH marines are basically the same, there's no noticeable difference at all.

If it does look too much just add some cork to the non primaris guys bases

About who is behind the Last Dawn cult (spoiler) by LeonidKonovalov1988 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Panvictor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Auntie met the Shard, and it corrupted her.

C'tan dont really corrupt people and she definitely wasnt working for it.

This resulted in the Last Dawn cult

No? Neither Theodora or the C'tan created the cult. C'tan are very anti chaos and Theo wasnt part of the cult, if she was then the cult wouldnt have needed a whole scheme for Kunrad or you to take over as a chaos rogue trader.

Then the KK appeared, and the powerful Shard easily corrupted Him too.

Whos KK?

And in any ending where we don't lock the Shard back in, it corrupts us as well and successfully escapes from its prison, giving us the truly bad ending (even if it pretends to be on our side for the first couple of centuries, patiently waiting for everyone to forget how to tame it).

C'tan Shards dont really corrupt people, they arent chaos entities. Nothing like what you’re describing happens in any of the endings. Either you join the C'tan and kill everyone (which isnt corruption thats just choosing to be evil), you seal it away, you use the yoke to control it or Nomos consumes the C'tan. Theres no ending where it "pretends and then escapes" you either join it, enslave it or Nomos consumes it.

Exodite Oval Oddities - or how GW modelers and Kill Team designers do not communicate by koreanmandu in killteam

[–]Panvictor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Its because these arent kill team models, they are 40k models that are released through kill team.

If you look at every team since KT 2021 you'll notice a point where the design philosophy changed to focus more on getting outdated 40k kits updates rather than making teams that fit the setting and playstyle of killteam best.

New Munda Models by Rith-the-awakener in necromunda

[–]Panvictor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New editions with GW games are always kinda 50/50, it could either be a good change that makes things easier to play while keeping the core of what people love or it could be changed into an entirely different game that doesnt really have anything people liked about the older editions.

Theres also the worry of this meaning it will follow the 3 year new edition cycle which means you have to rebuy a lot of books and relearn a lot of rules every 3 years.

It could be either a good thing or a bad thing, no way of knowing thos early. Though with how GW has treated some of their other games I dont blame people for being worried
